Gravitas Ventures & the New Zealand Film Commission have announced they’re bringing the action comedy The Legend Of Baron To’a to US screens next month. It’s bad enough that Fritz has to sell his family home…when he returns there to inspect it, he finds his father’s prize championship belt has been stolen! Fritz is determined to get the belt back, but it’s now in the possession of a dangerous street gang known as the Pig Hunters. Fritz is a bit naive and thinks if he can get the chance to talk things over with gang leader Tahu, the man will understand and return the belt to his family. Instead, Fritz gets a beating for his attempt at kindness. It becomes clear the only way to get the belt back is to challenge and defeat the Pig Hunters in a wrestling match.
