A Whole Lotta Sonic Is Speeding Our Way
Early this morning Sega streamed out Sonic Central, an eleven-minute presentation announcing every Sonic The Hedgehog-related thing they plan to release over the next twelve months. A list of what would be revealed was leaked a couple days ago, and though it might have gotten a couple things wrong (more on that in a bit), it was overall accurate. For instance, the list mentioned a remake of Sonic Colors, and that’s exactly what we’re getting. Sonic’s 3D track record has been spotty at best, but Colors (originally released exclusively on the Wii) was one of the better efforts. The plot is that Sonic visits an amusement park in space that turns out to be an elaborate scheme by Dr. Eggman to enslave a cosmic race called the Wisps — and “that’s no good.” The most important thing about Colors is it leaves out all the unnecessary extra elements with other characters and just lets you RUN.
