LEGO Worlds Announced, To Compete With Minecraft
They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and in many ways it is. In the last couple of years, the video game industry has gone through a plethora of “imitations”. From the motion control saga, to mimicking other companies titles, to the figurine boom, it’s a never-ending thing. LEGO, has now entered the ring twice in the imitation game. First came LEGO Dimensions, it’s answer to the Skylanders series. Now, LEGO is coming with a competitor to Minecraft, which is simply titled: LEGO Worlds. The announcement of LEGO Worlds was made this week by Warner Bros. Interactive and TT Games. LEGO Worlds will have a limitless collection to alter procedurally generated worlds,” in which, yes, you can build anything you want brick by brick. The game will be made by TT Games and is actually on Steam Early Access right now.
