Star Wars The Force Awakens: First Actual Clip Revealed Plus New TV Spot
Disney and Lucasfilm are continuing to step up their promotion for the highly anticipated Star Wars sequel, Star Wars The Force Awakens. During last night’s American Music Awards broadcast on ABC, the network aired the first-ever clip from Star Wars The Force Awakens along with yet another new TV spot. You can check out the first clip from the film and the spot, with some new dialogue and footage, in the players below.
In the first clip, there is an actual look at a scene that his been frequently glimpses in TV spots, trailers and photo stills. Finn, Rey and BB-8 are on the run from the forces of the First Order. Finn yells how they can’t outrun the bad guys. Rey points out that they can if they board a quad jumper they are running to. Rey reveals that she is a pilot and she can pilot the ship. However, that plan comes to a dramatic halt when the getaway vehicle is blown away by the First Order.
The new TV spot features some new voice-over dialogue from Maz Kanata, apparently speaking to Rey. She says, “Dear child. The belonging you seek is not behind you. It is ahead.” This is after Rey references waiting for her family. It seems Maz Kanata might have some telepathic or Force sensitive abilities. It seems the answers the reluctant Rey wants are likely in the adventures that are ahead of her.
The wait for the next Star Wars movie is almost over. Star Wars The Force Awakens arrives in theaters on December 18.
