Square-Enix has confirmed a series of free Apps for the 3DS which work in conjunction with Dragon Quest X on Wii and Wii U.
The first App which will be available via the eShop will be called “Dragon Quest X Boukensha no Odekake Benri Tool Vol.1″ which loosely translates to “Convenient Tool For Adventurers On the Go: Vol.1″. This tool allows you to view alerts from DQX, do SpotPass exchanges with your DQX avatar, view information about friends and NPCs, send letters to friends, and view product information from the in-game Travelers Bazaar. Square-Enix has confirmed that this app will be free, but not when it will be released.
Dragon Quest X launches on the Wii on August 2nd, the Wii U version has yet to be shown or given a release date.
