Phantasy Star Online 2 Comes To Epic Games Store Tomorrow
For quite a while, Sega’s MMO Phantasy Star Online 2 has been available on PCs through Steam and the Windows 10 Store. The only place you can’t buy it for PC is the Epic Game Store, but that will only be true for a few more hours. Sega is bringing the game to a new marketplace.
The EGS version of PSO2 will come with every scrap of content introduced for the game to date, including the latest update to Chapter 6. “With all the huge updates to the game over the past year, including the newest Chapter 6 update, there’s more content than ever to explore and play through,” says said Fred White from PSO2 Team Global. “We can’t wait to welcome in all the new players to the PSO2 universe!”
ARKS (soldiers of the Oracle colony fleet in the Phantasy Star Online 2 series) are invited to join together online to explore numerous worlds with friends and experience PSO2’s unparalleled action combat and character customization. Choosing from four unique races and thirteen classes, players can join forces with up to eleven other operatives at a time to experience unforgettable battles and boss fights.
This is the same Global version currently being used on other platforms where all new content is distributed around the world simultaneously. And of course, Epic users will be able to cross-play with those on Steam or XBox One, because it’d be pretty terrible if THIS was the only version locked to its platform.
With Steam, Windows 10 and the addition of Epic Games Store, now you can play PSO2 no matter what your game-piping preference is. …Oops, I forgot GOG. Oh well, more goals for the future. The Epic version launches tomorrow, February 17.
