One Piece Odyssey Announced For Consoles And PC
One Piece is 25 years old! When you have your own series that releases a new episode every single week, that really adds up (nearly a thousand episodes if you’re wondering). To celebrate Luffy’s birthday, video game publisher Bandai Namco revealed a new One Piece video game is on the way — this one an RPG.
The game is currently being developed by ILCA Inc, whose last project was the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl remakes for Switch. Unlike previous OP games, One Piece Odyssey will tell an original story, written by creator Eiichiro Oda. Oda is keeping mum on the specifics of that story, but it sounds pretty typical of a Straw Hats adventure:
During their voyage, the Straw Hats, led by Monkey D. Luffy are swallowed by a huge storm at sea. They end up on a mysterious island full of nature amidst the storm and become separated from each other. The crew sets out on a new adventurous journey filled with wonders of a raging nature, powerful enemies, and strange encounters with island locals. Work together with Luffy and his crew to set sail once again!
You won’t just be playing as Luffy this time, but his entire crew: Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, Robin, Franky and Brook. And you’ll have all their abilities at your command: Zoro’s three-sword style attacks, Franky’s cyborg gear, Robin’s spontaneous arm generation and Luffy’s Gum Gum mega-punches. Plus Usopp’s giant 10-ton hammer!
One Piece Odyssey will be out later this year for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC.

I religiously watch this Anime since childhood but I will not re-watch previous seasons because its hard to binge thousands of episodes. :p Glad that this game will be an original story because I ain’t coming back from the start.

They better Give Nami and Robin a chance to shine in this game because the Anime is giving them irrelevancy treatment.
