This survival game values the power of botany to keep you alive, even if you are an alien being! A new teaser has dropped for Astrobotanica before it’s Early Access release on Steam!
Made by Space Goblin Studio, Astrobotanica is a sci-fi survival game all about botany. Rather than surviving through the power of ones body, you instead use the power of your mind to live. From solving puzzles to building a base, your mind is your greatest tool for surviving.

The game had originally launched a Kickstarter campaign, reaching and surpassing its original goal last year in May. The game has been making progress with development, and released a new teaser for the game. This comes before its upcoming launch into Early Access on February 16, with a demo available in the meantime!
A SURVIVAL GAME ON A FAMILIAR WORLD, IN AN ALIEN BODY
You play as an alien botanist trapped on Earth 300,000 years before modern times. Unable to survive in the oxygen-filled atmosphere and surrounded by odd flora and fauna, you must find a way to survive this new world. However, you have a distinct advantage in succeeding in this endeavor, given your alien intellect and technology.
Your scientific understanding and specialty in botany is key in keeping you alive. You can use this for both building up a base and farm, or for exploring this new world. Whether its exploring ruins, solving puzzles, or gathering data on the wildlife, everything is based on your usage of your resources and knowledge.

Of course, being on Earth, you will come across many different prehistoric animals, including the primal ancestors of humanity. These prehistoric humans will have issues that you can assist them in solving, which improves your standing with the native lifeforms. Using your advanced technology, you can help them out and discover more about these burgeoning creatures.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM ASTROBOTANICA
- Catalogue a variety of different plant and animal life to fulfill your duty as a researcher.
- Build up a base, and cultivate a farm to thrive in an hostile environment.
- Explore the prehistoric world of earth, and delve into ruins that hold mysteries to solve.
- Assist the ancestors of humanity with your technology to foster a positive relationship with them.
- Survive a hostile world with your wits and technology.
