ZyuRanger DVDs, what a missed opportunity

I am currently watching Zyuranger (waiting for Vol.3 to arrive as we speak) and i am enjoying it ... i am looking forward to this fight

YouTube - Zyuranger - Burai Vs. Geki

I just finished Volume 3 and hate how it leaves off on another cliffhanger battle. Oh well, at least volume 4 is out in a week, so I won't have to wait that long. On the downside, it is going to be a long wait for Volume 5 in Jan.

Yep, thats the reason why i try not to watch the whole thing at one go (I only completed watching Vol. 2 a few days before Vol.3 was released)

Back on topic, i completed watching episode 21 - 25 and i totally love it ... especially the Burai VS Geki showdown, plus Dragon Caesar first appearance ... it was like watching Godzilla rampaging town

Also, i was like "What?!" when Gouryujin was first formed and the episode ended like that ... even though there wasn't a MOTW

I feel sad though that Burai is just a recurring member only coming in to summon DC and help the team out in the pinch ... Guess, thats how the rest of the Zyuranger episodes are going to flow ... with Burai and his remaining time left the focus

I'd have no problem buying these DVDs, but I can't justify buying something without subtitles.... even if the action is great and such and I could understand some of it.

Nothing against you, as that is cool and all, but I do not understand that. If someone loves something enough to want to own it, wouldn't you rather have it with no subs than not at all?

That is the reason I buy Sentai and Kamen Rider DVDs, and why I bought the Gundam ZZ Blu-Rays, because I would at least like to own it. Plus, it isn't like the shows are hard to follow. Sure, you miss on some of the underlying themes, but not by much.

Well what I plan on doing is making custom DVDs ^^ Like once I end up buying Double I'll end up making custom R1 DVDs for myself with W-Time's subs (and it does work out perfectly since the first 8 they released are DVD versions). So you could always end up doing that :P Getting the R2's to be a collector and support Toei, but putting subs on them too :P Oh and you could also just get some legit R3's that have been released (with or without subs) since those are always cheaper and they ARE still supporting a company ^^

When are TV Nihon gonna start subbing it?

To be honest, I hope they finish DaiRanger and MegaRanger first. Afterwards, then they should start ZyuRanger (and maybe start TimeRanger over again).

This. We should let them atleast finish up other projects before jumping to other stuff.

RRR has a subbed set of Zyuranger, the subs still kill any of the HK DVDs we were stuck with many years ago despite what fansub nazis say. I believe they are up to ep 30 or something and it's better than nothing.

I like when a volume leaves off on a cliffhanger because it builds up the anticipation for the next volume. You are a lucky guy for Vol 4 coming out so quickly after you finished the 3rd.

Yeah it's just something collectors need to do. I'm on a Blu-ray Toku kick and must own ALL of the official ones even though I already got em in HD and with subs thanks to TVN. I always billed it as a collector's thing.

I can't justify without subtitles. Especially since the price tag is so high, I want to be able to completely enjoy it everytime.
