Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger EP 22 - "Oh, No! Deboss Awakens"

Amy still has a Japanese surname.

Well. Japanese-American. My first name is one of the most common names ever(Joe), but my last name is Spanish, but I'm Asian. Well, American. Asian-American. Point is, You can have names of multiple nationalities. It's not a difficult concept to grasp. Like. Patricia Ja Lee. Or Cassie Chan to name the same person. Still, Asian surname, English given name.

I think you're confused. I'm asking how, if Ian is a Japanese living abroad, he can have a non-Japanese surname. It doesn't make sense, unless he was adopted or changed his name. Amy's surname is still Japanese despite her being American, because she's ethnically Japanese. Yorkland is not a Japanese last name.

I don't think Ian is Japanese (unless I've missed something), but I really don't understand why you're asking the question when you already have possible answers. His father could be European while his mother is Japanese, too.

My best guess is that you're trying to make others speculate, too, but it honestly sounds like you're complaining about things that are irrelevant to the plot or enjoyment of the series.

Did anyone watch this episode all the way to the end? That japanese kid doing the dance in a dinosaur outfit in the credits was toooo cute.

How can it be detrimental? More development's a good thing.

It can be a waste of time especially if it's not relevant to the plot. For example, development for Narutaki would've been a good idea, but development for that assistant in Kaba-chan's donut stand would've been useless.

Seeing as Daigo is the only one who can actively communicate with the dinosaurs, we're gonna get even more Daigo which would not be fun for those who already dislike him.

Yorkland is not a Japanese last name.
It's not any kind of last name. It's not a surname that exists in the real world. Google it or type it into wikipedia and the first result that uses it as part of a person's name is for the Kyoryuger character. Having said that, I've never met anyone with the surname "Joestar" around here either, but that's not going to prevent people accepting that the first protagonist of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is British. They're probably intending for Ian to be British too.
time stamp?
Seven minutes in. According to Over-Time: "In the Warring States period, creating my changer alone nearly cost Torin his life."

Ancestry.com says it has 73 unique historical documents bearing the last name of Yorkland. They also say it's of European descent. Interestingly, they mention 2 immigrations of the name through San Francisco.

So yeah, it's a real last name, just not very common.

I've no idea why that specific comment made me stop lurking and register...
