Please listen to the actual interview next time, you're blowing things out of proportion blueranger, and my predication a good amount of users are going to come in here believing the topic title. Not all wikipedia links are trustworthy.
Zac Efron has stated he's a fan of the show and would like to play the character. Vertigo has made absolutely NO STATEMENT on who they want to play Light. And according to all of the pitches going on right now, Zac Efron is far too young to play a Light in his Mid 30's.

No its not. It does seem like you're trying to play a joke. A rather old one at that. Like I said Vertigo has made no statement on Death Note besides the fact they are writing and producing it.

People complained about it months ago when the joke was new, keep up with the times :loltongue:
Also I must say I'd like either Zac Efron or Chase Crawford to play Light if they leave his age at the 20-23 range. Efron isn't a bad teen actor, look at his stuff outside of HSM.
But the one thing I want Zac Efron to stay far from is this remake. Its bad enough Efron got Footloose and Psycho but this?
