YouTube removes over 29,000 Japanese videos

I wonder if anything I have will eventually get deleted? The Stan Lee interview I've been holding my breath on since I uploaded it, but the other stuff is far from mainstream.

Sucks especially to hear that they're going after music videos.

It depends on how anal the company is...I know that Sunrise/Bandai had a lot of their stuff requested to be taken off.

...here's the kicker though, people just repost the stuff anyway, but under a different title and the number of search terms are reduced.

Okay, just now I have removed each and every video on my YouTube account. My favorites will still be active for the time being but all the videos I uploaded are now all gone. Hope you enjoyed them while they were still there.

Like I said, it's been fun at the time.

I'm definitely going to be encoding the stuff on my playlist that I haven't done before JASRAC and other similar organisations get their hands on it because at this rate, YouTube is going to be a boring version of what it currently is without the videos that make it popular... Let's just pray they don't go after AnimeMusicVideos.org next...

EDIT: Most of my videos on my playlist seem to be safe for now thankfully...

Well my vids haven't been touched and I have the Kuuga promos uploaded still.

This explains why everytime somebody's tried to upload Code Geass' opening, it's been deleted.

...expect a rant about this on R5 ^_^

All I can say is "Thank God" for KeepVid and their online Youtube video conversion and I encourage everyone if they've got videos on their playlist to convert them as soon as possible which is what I'm doing right now!

Well, it says right there in plain English that it's illegal to upload copyrighted material, that's why it's called YouTube and not TVShowsAndMovieClipsTube.
