Your favorite "Dark" Power Rangers storylines

Power Rangers may be light hearted at times, but it did have some genuinely dark moments. So what are your favorites. Lord Zedd was an amazing villain when he first appared and my first thought was "Isn't this a kids show?"

There's a ton of dark moments in PR which is what made me start watching Power Rangers again in the first place. It was the maturity of the show that brought me back in.

Time Force and Wild Force had some fantastic moments.

I have to say one of the darkest moments in PR, for me, is "The Master's Last Stand" of Wild Force. When Master Org tells the Red Ranger that he was the one who killed his parents. We see flash backs of the day in question of how Cole's parents died. We even see that Master Org was a good friend to Cole's parents and felt betrayed by them. So he took up the seed of master org to kill them.

After he explains this in great detail to Cole, he actually looks down to Cole and says:

"They begged for mercy... and I gave it to them!"

I was never so shocked at a Power Rangers episode before in my life. He just said "Your parents screamed in agony and I ended their suffering!"

One of the deepest and most emotional red ranger back stories in history.

trakeena's suicide bombing stingwingers was pretty dark, definetly something that you can't do in times like these

i'd personally have to say astronema being brainwashed/lobotomized into a heartless conquerer by the man who she considered to be a father, who was also lobotomized

That really was a chilling moment. You almost felt frightened for her.

yeah the moment she was found by ecliptor in his lobotomized form, you really knew that there was no way she was getting out safely

Dear lord that was horrible, What about the time Carlos was stung by that bee and was mutating seemed like something out a horror movie.

Tommy's coma in "Fighting Spirit" is often overlooked in favour of the fact he spends the episode fighting his previous selves. The guy may have been invisible, but he was having a heart attack WHILST invisible. They were able to get away with convulsions due to there being no visible body to disturb the viewer. Excellent stuff.

Zordon saving the day through assisted suicide cant have gone over anyones heads. Andros bragged about it in the original "Forever Red" cut...

i think when they snatched up zordon was pretty messed up.

and when psychopink took out the pink lost galaxy ranger. that was pretty messed up too.

Kendrix took herself out to stop Psychopink's energy storm. Ranger suicide.
