Yogi Bear Movie.

This honestly looks awful beyond belief and makes the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie look watchable by comparison (which isn't saying much)

Hollywood needs to do something else other than ruin my childhood on a consistant basis

Haven't you heard? Ruining geek's childhoods makes a lot of money!

As long as our hollywood doesn't touch Kamen Rider or Ultraman in the near future, I won't hire a hitman to kill them all

I'd also add Godzilla to that list, but it appears that he's already getting a new US movie

It just depends on who you are, I guess. I wanted real-life bears, but if CGI is willing to give us a more show-accurate version of Yogi and Booboo, I'm not complaining. I actually liked the Live Action Alvin & The Chipmunks movies. Unless an animated movie is being made, I doubt it's even possible to please the majority of fans with live action versions. But as long as our expectations are low or nonexistent, as long as we're willing to give it a shot and detach ourselves a little from what we use to know, we might be surprised by the movies that aren't that bad after all. You can't expect all movies to be a carbon-copy of what you love, and even animated movies have a risk of being bad if you get terrible animation, writing, or character designs.

I didn't mind the US Godzilla movie. I don't enjoy it the same way I enjoy a real, Japanese Godzilla movie, but I enjoyed it just the same, flaws and everything. And as for any other Japanese titles... Well, I will admit, hell would have to freeze over before they actually make a GOOD Kamen Rider or Ultraman production in the US. After seeing the Kamen Rider Spirits manga, I had thought about a cool way that it could be done that I think fans would love. But then I realized it would never happen. Of course, that's just me. The people who love Power Rangers, Dragon Knight, Saban's Masked Rider, or VR Troopers or any other adaptions like that probably won't mind whatever America does to those tokusatsu titles, on TV or in the theaters.

Looks....ok I guess.

But there's still way too many live-action versions of things these days. Can't people come up with something original?
