Xbox 360 vs. Playsation 3

So, I have been losing my mind lately with the mediocre graphics from my PS2. And I'm really getting bored out of my mind with my NBA 2K games since the graphics are always the same, so I'm looking to get a new console for realistic and better graphics but which system is better?

I hope this doesn't erupt into a fanboy flame war. :redface2:

If you're looking for realism in your graphics, I'd have to say get yourself a PS3. If you want it for the games, definitely the 360 will offer more in it's library.

Either way, you won't be disappointed in what you pick.

I was researching and I see that you have to pay for internet access with the 360. Please tell me it ain't so?

Yes

That's another thing I forgot to mention:

On the 360 you need to buy an adapter if you use wireless internet, that's gonna be 100 dollars. Then you'll have to pay another 60 for a 12 month membership card. This was before the prices went up, though so it could be differnt now. And I think the newer bundles include the adaptor, correct me if I'm wrong though.

It's free on the PS3.

You don't necessarily need a wireless adapater. On my fiances xbox we just connect it to the router with an ethernet cord. Pain in the butt but we're too cheap to by the adapter.

Also, we got the Xbox 360 for a few reasons:
1) it was in our price range. At the time there was no way we could afford a ps3. Don't know what they're at now though
2) We didn't know anyone with a ps3 (well now we know 3...but not when we bought it lol)
3) I knew a few ppl with xbox and faded knew a TON so we went with that.

And basically right now, the majority of games (to my knowledge, but I haven't done full out research) don't support the graphics for the ps3 anyway. That could be different now.

If you need wireless internet, figure out which one has the exclusives and go for that.

If you can use wired internet, the 360 will most likely be cheaper.

But really, what do you like to play?

Really comes down to the games you want and the people you want to play with in the end.

Take a look at each library and decide from there.

360 is all I need and then some.

I'm missing out on a few games I want on the PS3, but I'd be missing out on a LOT more if I didn't have a 360.

I've bought three different PS3s. None of them worked.

I've played my Xbox 360 almost every day for the past five months. Not a single problem.

Your experience may differ.
