I know I'm in the late 20's of Agito but, I read on wiki that the Overlord of Darkness isn't dead after Agito's Kick and he is waiting for another opperuinty to strike.
NOTE - I Was just reading the front page, on the enemys

[HIDE]At the very end, they give up. The Unknown were trying to stop humanity from evolving into "Agitos" and they decide to let it happen and just die. Thus, doing a sequel to Agito would be pointless. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.[/HIDE]
No point the gurongis of Kuuga die and in agito the unknow gave up. And did Kuuga ended with Godai Yuuske and Zero died in snow but he came back at the ending song.
The thing is Agito's link to Kuuga is someting that doesn't go much further than a footnote made by some dialog in that series that helps give background for the existance of G3. It's not a sequel in any real sense. There's just a subtle continuity link. Now if G3 had been the character the whole show was built around (which I think could have been interesting but I'm bias for not being a Shouichi fan) then I think you could have had something that was more an outgrowth of Kuuga.
The only way I could see a third series like that working is if they were really and truly willing to integrate the two together but that could be problematic from a writing perspective because you would have to figure out how to do that AND still set up your new Rider guy with his villans and supporting cast. Plus you would have to find a way to get the actors from the previous shows to revisit their roles which could be a headache by itself given schedules and pay, and that's provided they would be willing to do it in the first place.
