World Cup 2006

I think the biggest dissapointment of the 2006 World Cup is the American team. After a Quarterfinal apperance, they really looked bad. (And I'm an American.)

Nah, America didn't play as good as they could have, and they honestly could have moved onto the quarterfinals if they had really played their all.

What happened just now was the dissapointment of this World Cup. Score was 0-0, it was about to go into over time, Italy was given an undeserved penalty kick, and they made it, moving into the quarter finals and sending Australia back home. All the commentators on every channel that carried the game were saying how stupid of a move that was. The one on the Spanish station even went as far as to say he gives the ref a red card on his skills as a ref.

LOL! The refs have been making stupid calls this year. Even during the US/Ghana game, they gave Ghana an undeserved penalty kick, which gave them that lead. I mean, they clearly went over the replay and saw no foul at all(or if there was a foul, it was outside the box)

And it looks like more refeereeing blunders have screwed more teams...Seriously, what are the qualifications (if any) to ref for the WC? I don't even want to think about the politics...

The only good ref I've seen so far is Frank Debleekere ... the only Belgian participation in this worldcup :buttrock:

Well, you can stick the nail in the coffin for Ghana cause they are done. Brazil currently leads 3-0. And yeah, it clearly was an offsides goal(as a Brazil fan, I clearly admit it was).

Game over, Brazil won.

Wow, the Ghana coach was sent off because he argued with the ref about the goal.
So that's who recieved the red card. I had missed it, cause I was too busy mopping the field w/ Brazil against Trinidad and Tobago to see it(playin the official Fifa game for the 360. I won 10-0, w/ Ronaldo scoring 5 goals.)
