Do you know how long that would be?

The flying car or other flying vehicle would take years to develop completely through before manufacturing for the commercial market.

That means endless testing and changes until the final product is even shown or bought.

Even with autopilot, it can not change human error completely. It "may" reduce it, but as with all technology, it doesn't eliminate the possibility of such occurrences.
