Will Toei's Spiderman release in US?

Toku fans KNOW that Spider-Man is a Japanese Race Car Driver and uses a Henshin Device to change. :buttrock:

I can't imagine this series coming over here. There's almost certainly not enough demand for it, and that aside, there would probably be a lot of licensing difficulties.

And while it was a landmark series in some respects, I haven't heard much amazing about it. I heard they ran out of money for special effects and robot sequences very early on, leading to the use of a lot of stock footage.

I can see it as MST3k fodder, but nothing else.

no offense, but i hope thay don't.....i really don't see spiderman ever b eing meant to be toku. i'm wondering if stan lee or jack kirby ever really gave toei the liscence for this.

Toei would never have made the series if they hadn't gotten the rights to. Not to mention they also worked with Marvel to create Battle Fever J, and Marvel ended up having copyrights on the two sentai that followed, with some creative input on Denjiman from what I understand.

I'd post that Stan Lee interview that was on the Spiderman box set, but I'm probably going to be deleting it from my yt account.
