Why Super Sentai and Kamen Rider considered to be kid show?

You REALLY have poor comprehenshin skills on this.

See that, see that pun I made?

Anyways.

Toei acknowledges the periphery audience, and if you don't know what that means, I will explain it as simply as I can.

Us.

We are the periphery audience.

People who are not part of the target demographic.

They acknowledge us, but that does not mean the show is made 'for' us.

Whoa buddy. No need to be disrespectful. Don't get your panties in a bunch. I was just saying what my opinion was on the matter. What is there to comprehend? What you say doesn't make anything fact unless you secretly work for Toei.

Again I feel like these shows are meant to be viewed by all ages. I never said the shows are made for "us" meaning Adults. I am saying they are E for everyone.

Go back and study my post. Seems to me like YOUR comprehension skills need some work...

Are we still imagining that Super Hero Time being for kids isn't a fact?

How much in-denial can someone be?

The first line of Super Hero Time's wiki page:

"Super Hero Time is TV Asahi's program block showing Toei-produced dramas intended for children."

Everyone can watch any kids' show. It doesn't stop a kids' show from being a kids' show. Not acknowledging that is being in denial.

We're watching kids' shows and loving it. Nothing wrong about that.

Exactly.

But my question in my original post and the point I was making has totally been disregarded. I never implied that it was wrong to watch and enjoy these shows.

It was a pun!

Meant in jest! Not serious! I POINTED IT OUT!

Also what you're saying is literally meaningless as far as the production of the TV shows go.

While yes it is E For Everyone, so are all other kids shows. That is by design.

Here's the difference to again draw on Doctor Who. Doctor Who is MEANT and MADE for both older and younger audiences, and the preferred situation is for it to be watched by a family so the older audience can explain certain things to the younger.

Kamen Rider and Super Sentai are not. They are made specifically for kids and they are not expected to be watched by the whole family-that is just a happy bonus that some times happens.

There is nothing wrong with this of course, but trying to dress it up in other terms like E for Everyone just makes you look silly.

Akibaranger was Toei acknowledging the older fanbase and creating a show specifically for them.

I have a question. If adults or teens are not supposed to watch these shows why do they produce figures from these franchises that clearly say on the back of the boxes "This is not a toy" "Adult Collectable" "Not for children" and charge over $300 or more for them?
Because Bandai can recognise that there's a peripheral audience that's worth mining for gold? Toei make the shows, and notably productions like Double Returns only existed because of increased DVD sales, not because of the toys. I can't think of a $300 toy that was a central part of a toku show.

Bandai doesn't make anywhere near as much money from the older fans as they do from the kids. To use a current example, zyudenchi/beast batteries from Kyoryuger are selling so well that Bandai are having to come up with special sets to sell in stores. On the other hand, most of the Kyoryugers will be web-exclusive figuarts only, because Sentai Figuarts sell really poorly. The same is also true of Rider. Arms Change figures are NOT a cheaper alternative to Figuarts. They cost about the same to buy in stores. But Arms Change figures massively outsell Figuarts, and it's very obvious from watching Gaim that the suits are based on the Arms Change toys and not the other way around (which is not a new situation - I always point to the button moulded into the back of OOO's suit in-show that only exists because it's on his toy figures).

Bandai will always follow the money, and that doesn't lead to the adult fans. As long as we're worth an extra buck or two, they'll throw a bone our way. But the real cash comes from kids, and that's always who they'll be trying foremost to attract.

Project BM and Medicom RAH 1/6 figures. As well as Premium Rider belts and equipment etc.

Complete Selection, Premium Bandai. Check em out. $300 is cheap compared to what some items go for.

Faiz Gear is a very central part of the show and its price is staggering.

Things like Complete Selection belts get made like, long after the kids' stuff gets out. They're not the "central" merchandising thing.
