Also, werewolves haven't been getting much love these days, they definitely need a decent comeback.

I know this really didn't have much to do with the topic, but I saw the movie, and it was ok, not terrible but not great either. I will not waste my time with reading the books though.

Twilight vampires are hardly vampire, they're so different from the norm they're VINOs, Vampire in Name Only really. They're like an amalgamation of fangasmic qualities of a few dozen types of critters.

And Vampire VS Werewolf felt old when Underworld came out...at least that movie had Kate Beckinsale in a thight thight suit >.<

Now if it had been Vampires VS swamp monsters or fish people... now that would have been something.

There is a creature in the British Myths that is a seal in the water and then comes on land and turns into a beautiful person. It's called a Selkie.

Except I'm one of those people. Granted, I've only seen the movie and haven't read the book (need to finish Piercing the Darkness first) but I loved it. It kept me hooked and entertained without turning me into an obsessive fan. You can find good qualities in it if you look hard enough, and I did. Can't wait for New Moon to come out.

That's cool with me. It's good that you can be reasonable about your tastes and not become obsessive.

I've been a huge Transformers fan for a while now, and I thought the Transformers movie was nice, even if I may not have had an automatic emission in my drawers. So when I returned to work the day after seeing the movie and said it was a good movie, I got a lot of crap for that. I guess I was supposed to say that it was "the BESTEST MOVIE EVAAAARRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!".

To me, the ultimate vampire is Bela Lugosi. He can kick Edward Cullen's ass any day, even from beyond the grave.
