So what is everyone's view on Brosnan?

I thought Brosnan was great in GoldenEye, but after that he just seemed to be on auto-pilot, and just made for a really bland Bond. I remember a quote from Goldfinger director Guy Hamilton where he said Brosnan was a good Bond in looks only -- he did the poses, but offered nothing else. I think that's true of his films after GoldenEye, but I don't really put the blame on Brosnan...

Brosnan sounded dissatisfied with his movies after GoldenEye. GoldenEye had an excellent script, and the production tried their damnedest with that movie (Albert Broccoli was still alive to give input), whereas the following Brosnan entries always had problems behind the scenes or last minute rewrites and so on. And the biggest production problem -- the death of Albert Broccoli. The Bond franchise hasn't been the same without him, really.

What do you know about that movie? Did Lazenby had solid acting in it? I might actually give this a look.

Nah, there was really nothing solid about it except the action. That's all it is, a Hong Kong action movie from the 70's. Extremely 70's. It's really popular in the UK and Australia because of Lazenby and it's somewhat of a cult classic here, but most people still wouldn't know what it was if you asked them.
