They might have used footages, but Tommy, Megazords and Ninja Storm etc aren't Japanese.
Shows not produced by Japanese either.

Anime refers to animation, whether people want to be blind and think it only means Japanese animation is up to them. JLU is as anime as Dragon Ball is. Of course most people don't use that term, but when they act stupid about it, I'll use it.
And I'll say it again, just because it isn't Japanese doesn't stop it from being Toku. At the very blunt of it, PR IS Toku, it not being Japanese has no bearing on it. Just like at the very blunt of it, JLU is technically an anime.

Hmm... what pisses me off? Hmm... nothing really pisses me off, it may irk me but not really piss me off. If someone or something pisses me off then woe is them 'cause you really don't want me pissed off at you. 
What irks me though... fonts that get name changes so it seems to be a new font. Case in point, at Da Font's there is a font called "Jeepney " but it's real name is Public Utility Jeepney (you'd recognize it if you watch Magiranger). It's a font I've had for a long time now. Least Da Font's is one of those sites that will remove duplicate fonts when they find them.

My personal definition for Toku is any show/movie where the main hero transforms into a full metallic suit and fights monsters on a regular basis. So yeah, I consider PR Toku.

Yes, to those who want to be anal, the Japanese use tokusatsu for any little thing with special effects in it. So, when they CGI Gary Sinise's legs off in Forrest Gump, I guess that makes it a tokusatsu...And yes, geezers in Japan refer to every cartoon and comic as "anime." But...this isn't Japan. To the non-Japanese, tokusatsu represents a very specific thing (of the hero/kaijuu variety) while anime is a very specific thing (the flashy Japanese stuff, not just any cartoon that wants oh so badly to be an anime, such as JL or the MOTU remake).
I think some of you just cause this discussion for the hell of it -- you know very well PR isn't a true tokusatsu just as you know the damned Rugrats aren't anime. Here's some more for you -- The O.C., what a great little dorama. Hilary Duff is some wonderful J-Pop! Entertainment Weekly, what fine bathroom manga that makes...it's just not worth arguing over. The PR fans will insist that PR is toku until they're blue in the face, so...:shrug:

Teen Titans, therefore, is anime just as Dragonball Z is. Toku is a style as well, it's a type of TV that has a very specific formula that doesn't change too much from show to show. PR follows that formula, therefore, it's toku.
Saying it has to be Japanese to be Toku is like saying Nightmare on Elm Street isn't a horror movie because the style of movie originated in Germany. It doesn't make any sense, beyond the simple fanboy ideal that we all share that things are just better in Japan.

So when the Japanese voted Tom and Jerry as one of the top 100 anime of all time I take it they had no idea what they're talking about?
Tokusatsu, at least the term we're using is a show where heros Henshin...that's in PR so I don't see how that isn't a Toku show. Hilary Duff and J-Pop? Now that's just stupid, J-Pop actually says you have to be Japanese for it to be J-Pop. Toku on the other hand does not.
