What makes Hibiki NOT a Kamen Rider series?

[White-Knight]

Well, personally I'm with Ryotaro on this one. I say that it is a Kamen Rider series.

Some of the reasons that others have said that it isn't (that I've heard) include:

- no Rider Kick
- they didn't cry out "HENSHIN!" when they henshin'd
- the main character didn't get a motorcycle until around halfway through the series
- too much storytelling/mythos, not enough fighting/action
- a lot of the naysayers just didn't like things the musical theme of the series
- a lot of the naysayers didn't like how, at least in the first half of the series, so much emphasis was being put on Asumu's personal journey and growth; it almost made it seem like the show was about him and that the story of the Oni was made secondary

I'm with him.

But that doesn't stop me from liking Hibiki. I for one love the costume design and it's good to see a Rider constantly training and the effects showed in battle. Proves that you don't need fancy gadgets to be powerful.
