What does Power Rangers have over Sentai?

Have you seen Dairanger? Dairanger's fight choreography shits and pisses on PR's fight choreography in ANY season!

not really, and this is a martial artist talking. The out of suit choreograpy was very mediocre and used absolutely NO chinese kung fu, only typiclal japan action punches and kicks found usually in sentai. The suit fights while nice to look at were mostly the showy wushu junk that's become popularized (almost as bad as xma) .Also, the timing of some of the strikes were off that made me cringe. PR, showed very good diversity in mmpr(the gymnastics thing erkes me still ,and so does hiphopkido)and during in space-wildforce, the stunt men showed there stuff hard(i believe they shot alot of stuff in los angeles around that time), showing impressive acrobatics and well timed hong kong style flips and kicks. I love Dairanger like many, but can see some parts that are overrated. To end, This is from MY perspective and how i feel

Compared to some of Sentai's worst installments, I'd say RPM and Time Force. Other than that, nothing really comes to mind.

And yeah, it does have worldwide popularity compared to any other toku. :redface2:

Fantastic when some powers are ancient, mystical, and/or elemental; and while others are tech? I never saw how it made sense that they have from the same power source.

Simple, all powers that transform you into a power ranger use the morphing grid to power it.

The ancient stuff means that ancient humans or whatever could pull from the grid, Mystical means that that power is drawn directly from the grid (Think the spells in Mystic Force. In fact I think Mystic Force is the best example of showing what the full powers of the morphing grid could be. All the spells and things they pull of are just energy harnassed from the morphing grid.

As far as technological, well that's easy. Instead of using spells or "magic", the grid is tapped directly, using technology to enhance the morphers power.

The morphing grid is a power source, not an output device.

Because it's essentially just ripping off the Original Trilogy version of "the force"

Not at all, I think the Morphing grid is more like a power supply that can be tapped and harnassed. Its the energy of a billion sentient beings' willpower. Its pretty much infinite, but we dont really have any way to harnass it outside of morphers, so theres nothing we can do with it except imprint a template of the suits and have that suit made out of energy, for the most part.

Theres also the teleporting aspects and hammerspace aspects I could get into if you guys really wanna hear all that.

Needless to say, the Morphing Grid seals up a lot of the gaping plot holes in a lot of Sentai.
