so what do you like about your favorite series?
what makes it stand out above all others to you?

this includes all Toku:Goji,Ultra,Kamen,Sentai,Metal etc.

Now this thread i can get into.

I think, I'll talk about toku as a whole first.

I like Toku, because for the most part, there are great stories, awesome suits, and with the characters goal, they strive to get it, like there's No tomorrow.

Sentai: With Sentai I love everything to the smallest detail. I like the mech, and stories, but I'm big on action too. I like how you can jump from the ground to the top of a building un-henshined. I like the fights, how the grunts, for the most part are brutal.

Damn, there's more, but It's hard to explain.

Well, for starters, I love toku, because there's lots of toku out there that I like. And what do I like about the toku that I like? Well, I find it fascinating that it's live-action anime. Basically, cool cosplay costumes mixed with special effects, used to make awesome shows. A good number of the costumes and fight scenes in toku look awesome. Plus, I love the music (both BGMs and songs) that plays throughout the shows. Gives me some really good memories. Overall, I really like toku mainly because of the stories that they provide. And I've found some incredibly amazing stories and characters from several of the toku I've seen. A good number of them just blew my mind! And the lessons and themes that these stories show are really impressive. These stories are always going to have a place in my heart. Overall, I love toku a lot. Just as much as anime/manga and VGs (video games). And those were the reasons why.

I like tokusatsu for how outrageous it can be, considering the majority is aimed at children, I'm amazed to see how much appeal it has for adults and what not, especially with such delicate themes that would seem like taboo in other countries like the UK and US for that age demographic, like Faiz for example, I was 16 when I first saw that and it felt more gripping than some mature shows in the UK.

Another reason I like toku is cos its so damn weird, giant monster lizards, people wearing beaks on their heads being potentially badass, kicks that have the same explosive power as a nuclear explosion and the fact thhis s all live action just makes it that much sweeter.
