Tokusatsu has always been known for its eye-catching and often elaborate costume designs, but it's fascinating to see how these designs have evolved over the years. From the spandex-clad heroes of the early days to the intricate armored suits of recent Kamen Rider installments, each era brings something unique to the table.
What do you all think? Which era of costume design resonates with you the most? Personally, I have a soft spot for the classic designs of the Showa era, especially the vibrant suits of the original Kamen Rider. There's something so charming and nostalgic about the simplicity of those designs, and they had a real character to them, thanks to the creativity they exuded with limited resources.
On the other hand, the modern suits have reached a level of detail and craftsmanship that's simply stunning. I think of Kamen Rider Zero-One and how they incorporated technology into the design in a way that feels fresh while still honoring the franchise's roots.
What are your favorites, and how do you feel about the trends in costume design as time goes on? Do you prefer the classic or the contemporary styles? Let's hear your thoughts!
