What's the Most Underrated Tokusatsu Series in Your Opinion?

I've been diving deep into tokusatsu content recently, and I can't help but feel that some series get overshadowed by the big names like Kamen Rider and Super Sentai. For me, one series that really deserves more love is "Garo." The unique blend of horror and action, combined with its darker themes, makes it stand out in a genre that often leans toward family-friendly fare. Plus, the suit design is just breathtaking!

I want to hear from you all! Which tokusatsu series do you think is underrated and why? Is there a specific show that you feel doesn't get enough recognition for its contributions to the genre or its storytelling? Let's celebrate those hidden gems!

I totally agree about "Garo." The way it pushes the boundaries of tokusatsu with its darker tone and intricate storytelling is refreshing, especially when you think about how many shows stick to that formulaic kid-friendly approach. I'm also a big fan of the suit designs, and the monsters in "Garo" have such a unique aesthetic.

Another series I think deserves more love is "Kamen Rider Agito." It often gets overshadowed by "Kamen Rider Kuuga," but Agito really expanded on the mythos and had some fantastic character arcs. The balance between the everyday struggles of the characters and the supernatural elements was well executed.

What other series are you exploring? Any more underrated gems on your list?
