Poor Alan Moore, no one really gets him :laugh:
He does quite rightly have reason to hate the adaptations though, they've all been pretty bad knock offs. Don't get me wrong, I actually enjoyed V for Vendetta, even getting past the awfulness of crappy Matrix Brothers influences on the cinematography(alright, I'm sliding off), but the movie just completely missed the point. The movie destroyed one of the key points and that was it was British, but they made it anti-Bush American ****, Moores words, not mine.
Not that i don't like Americans, we're just two completely different cultures.
A squeal would be ****, but I'd still see it. They might make it good, but it would just take away from something special from the first.

Well in this case its not comic elitism, well if you word it better than Skynight did. The movie is not Alan Moore's Watchmen, its Zack Snyder's Watchmen. You see this movie drained a lot of the substance and characterization the comic had, and that was really what the comic was about its substance and characterization. Its what happens when you have a director that stated he didn't understand parts and characters of the comic (And a director that hires friends and family instead of people that are qualified :redface2
Thats why Alan Moore said this movie is trash, it drained pretty much the point of his story from a director who he deems a douchebag childish pig (look at 300) that doesn't understand anything. And well because all of the previous movies based on his comics except for V for Vendetta were terrible.
Besides not a single person with any intelligence would want a Watchmen Sequel. If you want a Watchmen 2 (or WatchmeX the movie) you also want Forrest Gump 2, Good Will Hunting 2, The Pursuit of Happiness Part 3, and so on.

Well I don't know anything about the watchmen, and I am not going to read the comic until after I have seen the movie. I also liked 300. V I didn't really care for. And just so you know, they have been working on getting a forest gump 2 made for a while now. I don't care about that one. I didn't care about FG1.

Well, everyone knows King Kong climbed up the Empire State Building, and then gets shot down and falls.
But to comics fans, Watchmen's ending is a classic. Best read the comic now. Download a torrent if you have to!
