[GAME] Vanguards of Hope

(Now my Nintendo Wii decides after several years of good use decides to bite. Not a good week that is for certain.)

If time had had permitted Gwen would continue staring contentedly at the landscape for a while longer knew there was still much yet to accomplish in her new home. Releasing Cologne from her arms stowed the henshin device back into her pocket ready to head back inside with the fairy paused as the voices of terrified cries pierced catching the two off guard. It was the terrified the young woman was all familiar with did not want to act if by chance she was wrong. Returning the balcony’s edge grasped firmly onto the ledge scanned the streets down below which direction the cries where coming from. Unearthly sounds following behind confirmed their suspicions as the streets poured with people trying to evacuate. “Hmmm…Appears that we might not be too far off after all.†Gwen said looking down from the several story building.

Nodding in an agreement Cologne taken a double take as the raven-hair young woman pole vaulted over the balcony’s railing without warning. While her heart was in the right place Cologne questioned if she did that just to get an adrenaline rush? “Precure, open my heart!†Gwen shouted inserting the purple Precure Seed in the Heart Pod Compact. A storm of purple rose petals gathered around Gwen’s decent from the balcony. When the flowers parted Gwen’s street clothes were replace with a silvery/purple flowing dress with feather shoulder sleeves. Her waist length raven-hair now reached down to her the back of her ankles was light lavender. The two shared one mind practically Cologne transformed into a small orb of purple light reforming around as a cape around the Precure, Cure Moonlight. The danger unknown to the two of them one thing remain present and that was to protect the Heart Flowers of the people.

(Next post I will also do a little more with my second. But for now I sleeeeep)

"Well, would you look at that?"

The question dragged Melinda's attention away from her computer screens and back to the real world. She found Alice leaning against the dorm's French window... watching what looked like a light show on speed. In an instant, Melinda had shut down her computer and was joining her companion at the window.

She peered out to see a host of slugs and giant anemone battling it out with a cast of overly colorful characters. She inhaled sharply, whistling through her teeth.

"Looks like a free for all, doesn't it?" An all too familiar grin of predation appeared on Alice's face. "Looks tasty."

"Don't go berserker on me just yet. We don't know what side anyone's on."

"Based off of my initial observation, I'd say that the slugs are trying to kill people and the ones trying to stop them are fellow Vanguards. Now stop analyzing the situation and come on."

Alice added some kick to the order, quite literally, by planting her foot against the window pane. The lock snapped and the window exploded open. Alice's smirk broadened as she stepped through the window.

"Alright, alright. Geez. Pardon me for employing some caution." Melinda grunted as she climbed out the window and rushed to catch up with her companion.

A minute's run took them across the campus to the sight of the battle. Without hesitation, the two of them charged into the fray. A familiar sensation rippled through Alice's spine-- times like these were the only instances where she ever felt alive. Melinda's eyes narrowed as she saw the destruction waged against this town and she vowed to stop these evil beings for good.

In unison, the two held one hand up and summoned a sphere of magical power. Melinda's was white and soft; Alice's was dark and foreboding.

"Light and darkness united in one accord: the preservation of hope! Balanced Metamorphosis!"

A wall of light engulfed Melinda while a sphere of darkness wrapped about Alice. A fraction of a second passed and then their protective shells burst away from them. Melinda and Alice were gone, replaced by their powerful Cure forms.

A throaty chuckle left Cure Dark's throat.

"Ah, yes. It's good to be back." She hissed.

"Stay focused." Cure Shine responded. "There's two objectives: save the civilians and seal the enemies. To do that, we should--"

At that point, Dark Cure interjected: "Yes, mom. Now, let's party!"

With that, Cure Dark rocketed into the sky, twisting around various electrical and energy blasts. Cure Shine stayed right on her heels. Once aloft, she picked out her first target and dive bombed it, planting an explosive punch in what passed for the giant eel's face. Cure Dark was right beside her, putting roundhouse kicks on another eel's neck.

The two knocked their respective enemies aside before spinning together and sending twin punches into another eel's stomach. The magic contained within their fists detonated, sending the abomination spiraling over backwards.

Recalling an old saying or variation of it how time tend to drag making the day feel longer questioned if it include the variables such dealing with rudely patrons. Even after paying for his meal the short-hair brunette found the same gnat sitting and goggling over her like a slobbering hound. However, on second thought comparing hounds with the douchebag is a far greater insult to all canines. Accordingly to the patrons’ right not having overly made himself a nuisance hindering all employees try steer clear and take another worker’s section more suitable to deal with him. Taught never to wish ill-will toward another living being could not help warrant him to be an exception in that life lesson. “Abby, do not let that drunken fool get the better of you.” The bartender caught Abby’s distress after exchanging section with another waiter. “If it makes you feel any better I’ve caught off his request for another drink and called for a cab.” He continued.

Quietly leaning over the counter nodded lightly feeling rather appreciated for the comfort talk wished he left now. When the next order was ready to be taken over to her other patrons breathed in deeply as not to let the actions of one hinder the rest of the shift. Abby’s earlier feeling ended up biting her in the end as from where the drunken leech sat crashed inward knocking those in its path with a dust cloud of broken shard of glass and debris. “ABBY!” the bartender shouted leaving his station to pull her to safety. The once liveliest atmosphere erupted into a horrific scene with patrons and workers caught underneath the rubble or trying to flee for their lives. “The bloody….” Covering her mouth quickly as not to inhale the dust swept into the room. From the dust storm made out several figures standing outside what was now the establishment glass front window. From the numbers gather Abby was barely able to make out any features glimpsed as the figure picked up the rude patron by the scruff of his neck. Lifting the patron up to its eyelevel noted no struggle being manhandle with little regards that his life had been snuffed out. Harmony and the fairy tones cowered closely together from where they hid safely caught site of the creatures.

~~~~~~~~~
It was easier to follow the direction where the terrified people ran away from above till locating the source. Landing on a billboard sign Cure Moonlight’s eyes open wide at the scene played out down below. Neither Desertrian nor Sunackies felt a great aura of intense darkness encircling the eel-like creatures waging war upon the city. Amongst the mass creature army watched few peculiarly dressed warriors confronting the nightmarish creatures from causing further destruction. They too were a mystery only determined by a simple glance able to stand against them. “Cologne, be careful and help them to safety” indicating few terrified people.
“And what of you?” Cologne rematerialized into his fairy form, “You should not be fighting alone…” Cure Moonlight offered him a reassuring smile.
“I will not be fighting alone.” She replied returning to the ensuing battle, “Just concentrate helping them get far away from here as possible.” There was no time to wish each other success felt the connection with their hearts. Pushing off the billboard Moonlight descended delivering a diving kick sending one of the eels back into a pile of turnover cars. There was little time for the usual introduction speech raised both arms blocking another attack. Like their appearance felt the slippery texture best suiting its description made a mental note to avoid eating anything with eel in it. Regardless of their appearance the eel-like creatures proved more formidable against her melee of attacks.
Things were not going well.
As Ryan rushed to the aid of the civilians, the giant creature began shooting bolts of lightning out at random. It didn't seem to have a target, it just wanted to do damage and instill fear in everyone who could see it. And it was particularly effective on the group hiding behind part of a collapsed coffee shop.
"Are you guys okay?" Ryan asked, sliding in next to them.
"It's Carl! He's stuck!" A young woman said in a panic.
He looked over at her friend. His leg was caught under a large piece of rubble. His helmet's HUD showed that it wasn't broken, but he'd be limping for a while once free.
"Okay, stand back." Ryan said. He took the rubble, and with his suit's enhanced strength, threw it towards the giant beast. He figured he'd at least try to damage it while saving them. "You're going to be okay, but I need you to get as far away from here as possible!"
"No problem!" The woman said, helping Carl up.
"Thank you!" Carl said as they left.
Looking back at the giant threat, Ryan noticed that his Red ally was changing colors. The new guy must have a variety of elemental abilities. Interesting.
"Ready to jump back into the fray, Byakko?"
"I still think we should retreat." The sword said.
"Not gonna happen. Besides, we can't just leave the new guy here all ---" Ryan stopped in shock as he realized that a lightning bolt was heading for the people he'd just rescued.
Pushing his suit and himself to the edge of overload, he rushed to intercept the bolt. However, he had no time to deflect it. Instead, he jumped into its path.
The bolt struck him in the chest, sending hundreds of thousands of volts surging through him. He screamed in pain, his suit incapable of absorbing all of the damage. The electricity paralyzed him, preventing him from taking any action that would normally reduce such damage.
In a last ditch effort to save him, Byakko refocused the energy overloading Ryan and his armor, causing a small, but powerful shock wave as it was all ejected. The shock wave had an unexpected effect however, as it launched Ryan and Byakko a mile backwards at a hundred miles per hour. They crashed into another building.
The last thing Ryan saw before passing out was part of the building crashing down on him.
"Holy ****." Steve and Draco were shocked (Pun not intended.) that the warrior jumped in the way like that.
I am not letting what he did be for nothing. Steve thought as he slashed through One eel with his sword. Steve jumped back from other eel as it attempted to pin his arms to the ground. He kicked the Eel upwards then jumped upwards to slice the Eel in half. After he landed, 2 of Steve's sealed rings began to glow. It had to be a sign that they were being unsealed because Draco was grinning.
"Steve, your Rings are glowing. They're unsealed!" Draco told Steve as the latter took out the 2 rings. Draco looked at them with concentration. "That one lets you defend with your elemental powers and that one will allow you to stretch one of your limbs like Mr. Fantastic."
"Ok, if this thing uses electrical attacks, then it can get grounded." Steve said as he took out the Yellow ring and switched the Hand-Scanner's settings as he ran it through said scanner.
"SHABADOOBIE TIME TO CHANGE! LAND! PLEASE! D-D-DON! D-D-DON!" the Belt said as the Yellow Magic seal formed above Steve and descended, turning Steve Yellow. the creature was getting ready to make another eletrical attack that was headed to the university. Steve rushed ahead of the monster's aim at a slow pace due to him being alot heavier. during which Steve put on the ring that Draco said would defend with his elemental powers and switched the Hand-scanner's settings to the right hand.
"LUPACHI MAGIC! TOUCH TO GO!" Steve ran the ring through the Hand-scanner. "DEFEND! PLEASE!" A yellow magic seal appeared in front of Steve and a huge stone block rose up to defend against the lightning bolt. the lightning bolt did some damage to the stone, but not enough to seem like a big deal.
"Not a chance buddy." Steve said as he did a "Come-At-Me-bro" Gesture.
Before Molly knew what had happened, she found herself hiding in an alleyway, watching the two, armored warriors fighting the fiends. This alone was a shock, but even more soul shaking was the fact that the two warriors were winning. Thomas caught his breath while leaning against a wall. He had been forced to carry Molly away from the scene as the girl was almost in a trance as she watched the strangers fight. He was too bust thanking the God that Molly was alive to worry with a pair of bug eyed super heroes. It was only then that things started to click in his mind, and he realized how insane the situation had become. He had seen some crazy stuff living in Cold March, but super heroes were a first. Strangely, for the first time in a long time, the bewildered man was able to smile a real smile. ”Of all the insanity that has ever happened to me…this one thing…I actually welcome.”
Molly turned to Thomas and saw his face. She held her chest as something deep down inside of her seemed to react to the feeling that her friend now felt. The look of hope, she felt it as well deep in her heart. Whoever these two were, something about them brought peace to both Thomas and Molly. As the warrior in pink was knocked back and struggling against the slug monster, Molly couldn’t help but pray. They had to live…they just had to. Thomas looked over at the girl and felt a familiar sensation. Molly was glowing, but this was somehow different from her normal power. This was something more…real.
As the slug monster marched forward, intent to continue its assault, it seemed Cam would continue to struggle in his current state. Then something warm appeared around him. A strange, but comforting feeling began to manifest in his hand as a card that the rider had never seen before. It was definitely one of his attack ride cards, but it showed a flame on its face and had appeared from thin air. There was little time to question this unusual event as the slug monster revealed a new ability. It pulled its body back and flung forward, but this time sent its fang flying at Decade like a javelin. Almost as soon as the weapon had left the slimy monster’s mouth, another appeared to take its place. At this rate the pink rider would become a pink cushion if he didn’t act quickly.
The mysterious man clad in angelic armor watched the transformation of his chosen advisory with an analytic eye. This man before him was indeed cut from the same cloth as himself, but something else was mingled with the otherwise familiar power. Something deep bellow the surface was just as much a factor in this reaper’s form as its wielder was. One the transformation was complete, Arclight let his head hand low for a moment as gloom passed over him. ”How sad…the personification of your soul is none other then the grim reaper, bringer of death. I am not sure if I should feel pity, or contempt for you. Indeed, it is too soon to tell whether you are a bringer of death, or one who is cursed to have it follow after his steps. For that matter…you may yet prove to be both.”
Lifting his head, Arclight took on a bit more cheer as he walked toward Raye with open arms. ”Let us waste no time in discerning your true nature, reaper of souls!” Breaking into a run, the arc angel warrior attacked Reaper relentlessly with Changquan (long fist) style of martial arts. His fast, circular arm swings and kicks struck Raye hard, and before Raye had a chance to counter attack, he was flying through the air. Somewhere in the flurry of blows, the angel themed fighter had caught his opponent in a swift, fluent grab that ended with Raye flying into the side of a dumpster. Before he could recover, Arclight had swooped in to continue his assault. At this rate, the battle would be over before it had even properly begun.
”What’s wrong reaper? Summon your persona, wield your weapons, change your form! This cannot be the limit of death’s warrior!”
The battle in the CMU courtyard had become all out war as the eel like abominations and their menacing parent attacked their new enemies. Six heroes had answered the call to battle, but so far their efforts had looked to be in vain. This was far from the case, however, as the towering monster was not as well off as it seemed. Its soul purpose was to kill any and everything in its path. It forced itself to produce more monsters, to fight more furiously, to kill anything in its path. Yet these six wouldn’t die. They just kept fighting harder and harder against it and its offspring. One had been knocked back, yet the others only fought harder in response. Why…why wouldn’t they just die…why wouldn’t they all die! The creature's hate and rage grew greater and greater, and its body seemed to swell up in response!
The anemone began to convulse erratically as it discharged more electricity from itself. It would have been a rather beautiful sight if not for its deadly power. As it convulsed, all present, especially Cure Dark, would feel a massive change in the monster’s power. Many of the eel monsters suddenly dropped dead, while others seemed to grow more unstable. Then, in a disturbing explosion of slime and flesh, something exploded from the once towering monster. It jumped upward, high into the night air, before landing before the weary heroes.
What stood before them now was not a welcomed sight. It was a larger version of the humanoid eels, though this one was blood red, and bore fang to large for its mouth to contain. Spines ran down its back and when it stood upright it was over eight feet tall. In its clawed hand was a broadsword of boney cartilage which it wielded with little effort. As it stood, it let out a gurgled roar before charging at its nearest foe, the ring wearing Wizard. It swung its massive sword with enough force to break through the mage’s shield and sent him flying back a few feet. Fortunately the stone wall had taken the biggest part of the damage, but the creature had proven its strength. As the precure duo approached the monster, it launched several of its spines at the two, firing them like arrows from its back. The attack was swift, but the two would most likely be able to avoid serious injury as it was far from an accurate strike. When Cure Moonlight and MegaPink moved in, the monster presented yet another of its powers as electricity arced across its fangs. When it opened its maw, a bolt of lighting flew at the pair, striking MegaPink’s board and sending both rolling across the ground toward Moonlight.
It was as if the creature before them had taken most of its parent’s powers as its own, and it seemed bent on killing the heroes at any cost.
"Ow...." Steve said as he got up from the impact. "Ok....Never do a come-at-me-bro gesture to a giant monster."
"You can say that again." Draco said. "That thing is like the monster you were fighting times 10."
Steve looked at the monster and saw 4 more heroes fighting the monster, they were what appeared to be a pink female warrior on a flying surfboard, what appeared to be a 3 more women using magic powers of their own to combat the monster, only the pink surf-board rider and one of the flying women fell after getting hit with the monster's lightning. Steve thought about an idea with the little time he had.
"Do you think i can use that ring that makes you solid so you could go find that warrior we met earlier? He might have crashed into a building but i don't think he is dead yet." Steve asked his dragon.
"Oh, sure Steve. Send the giant dragon to rescue someone who probably doesn't even know that the dragon is on their side." Draco said sarcastically.
"OK, point taken." Steve replied after getting up.
"Try using that ring, it will enlarge your limbs." Draco said as he pointed to the ring he was talking about.
"Alight." Steve said as he ran the ring through his hand-scanner.
"BIG! PLEASE!" The yellow magic seal appeared in front of Steve as he put his hand through the seal, it grew exponentially, so Steve punched the Mega-eel in the chest. The enlarged arm went back to normal size after that punch.
"OK, it looks like i need to use that last resort." Steve took out the red ring, switched the belt's hand-modes. and ran it through the hand scanner.
"FLAME! PLEASE! HI HI!! HI HI HI!!!" A red burning magic seal drifted from Steve's left to his right, changing him red. After that, he looked for the ring that Draco said was a last resort.
"There's the ring Steve. but remember it works for 10 minutes for me to help out and you have 5 minutes to finish it and you only get shitty magic for 10 minutes." Draco reminded Steve as the latter took out the ring and switched the belt's hand-modes again.
"LUPACHI MAGIC! TOUCH TO GO!" Steve put the ring through the belt.
"DRAGON-RISE! PLEASE!" Steve's body erupted in flames as the flames jumped from Steve to Draco just as a giant magic seal appeared above the dragon. The flames later died out and the magic seal dissipated. From Steve's point of view, Draco looked about the same as ever, but from other people's perspective.....
"HOLY ****! A DRAGON!" Yelled one of the university students from afar. Yep, looks like the ring worked. Steve thought with a slight grin.
"OK, now get that motorcycle over here." Draco told steve as he blasted the Monster with his Dragon-breath. Steve got on the bike and rode towards Draco. The bike split open from the bottom and attached to Draco.
"Say hello to my little friend." Steve said as Draco roared at the monster.
"Oh, yes! Oh, ho, ho, hoooo, yes!" Cure Dark laughed as she felt the surge of power well up in the beast. Tears of joy began to appear in her eyes. "That's it, you're going to--"
The end of that sentence was lost as a fleshy palm impacted with the side of her face, knocking her head around and sending her thoughts spinning. Alice gasped and shook her head. The sudden pain and experience cut through the darkness and gave her some valuable time to focus.
She looked up to find Cure Shine standing over her with worry in her eyes.
"Sorry. Sorry." Cure Dark shook her head one final time and then managed a re-assuring smile. "I'm good now. That was just... never mind."
"That's good, because the last thing that we need is one of the other heroes thinking that you're on the wrong side." Shine sighed. "Now, any idea how we deal with that thing?"
"Well, for starters we could-- dodge!"
The two split apart and rocketed in separate directions as a row of spines slammed into their prior location. Cure Shine bolted to the side and threw up a sunlight barrier. Her actions were just in time to prevent a row of gawking students from getting turned into a pincushion.
"Hey, guys, less time ogling the dragon and more time running for your lives would be appreciated." Shine grunted. "Now, move!"
She swept aside another round of spikes and then shot skyward as the students scattered.
Cure Dark's wings snapped frantically as she propelled herself out of harm's way. Her eyes turned over the new beastie, studying it and trying to get a feel for its flow of darkness. Maybe that would lead her to a weak point... maybe.
One thing was becoming abundantly clear, defense wasn't going to win this battle. Cure Dark took aim on that notion and sped skyward towards the other two Cures in the area. Maybe if she could spare them a moment they could come up with a halfway workable idea.
Cure Dark slipped past a bolt of lightning and retaliated with her own burst of dark power. A blast of energy erupted from her palms and spread out towards the walking skeleton. Her strike didn't do much by way of damage, but it did knock the beastie out of its attack pattern. She began juking back and forth drawing its attention.
Cure Shine shot past her and approached the other Cures. She threw up another sunlight shield to give them a moment of peace.
"So, anyone got any ideas?" She asked. "I'm open to suggestions."
G1 stood ready to strike against the wolf creature but it made no counter attack. Minutes past while G1’s armoured ally fought against the slug but nothing. The creature was surely hoping he would enter the fog and try to find him, giving the wolf an opening to strike either of them unaware but G1 did not want to give it the chance.
More minutes past until Hayato looked out the corner of his eye, the magenta warrior weapon had been jammed by slime breaking apart his plan. The slug looked impervious to physical attacks and G1’s only option against it would leave him completely open to attack by the wolf still as it seemed now, he would have to put his faith into the hands of the magenta warrior.
“I-“
Turning his attention away from his surroundings for only a moment was all that the wolf needed, it burst from the fog and bashed head first into G1. Knocked deep into the fog the hi-tech hero tried to rise to his feet only for the wolf to leap onto him. The beast tried to maul G1 but soon found his armour to durable and recoiled in pain only for G1 to grab it by the neck and start to strangle it. The crushing force of his armour almost had the beast beat but with its precious few remaining seconds the creature bashed G1’s helmet. The startled by his sudden blows to the head, G1’s grip loosened and the wolf leapt back into the safety of the fog.
Rolling back up to his feet, G1 had barely a moment to react when the wolf fiend left once again out of the fog and stroke G1 before vanishing again. The beast repeated this again and again, G1 was just too slow, if he could just see where the wolf was, if he could just deliver a blow fast enough.
Left with little other options, once the wolf had leaped back into the mist, the red warriors clenched his right fist.
“Shocker punch!”
G1’s fist crackled with lightning on his command, lighting up the night and startling the wolf fiend. Wasting no time, G1 punched the surprised beast in the gut filling its body with an electrifying force. The fiend staggered back and exploded leaving nothing bits of bone and flesh.
Given no time to celebrate G1 turned back and ran toward, though he soon started to slow as his glowing eyes began to flicker. The shocker punch personified the entire G1 armour strong but far from perfect, it seemed to have drained much of the suit battery Hayato would need to swap it out if he wanted run never mind fight.
Reika now mega yellow strategically blasted the rubble on top of the White warrior as she wondered if she could have somehow prevent all the chaos that had erupted in this university.
After all it seemed simple enough at first; she was far out of reach of the anemone or its spawn on top of her cyber slider. She was free to attack without any risk to herself, but the whole situation was far bigger than she expected. A figure clad in a white costume not unlike her own, suddenly hurtled through the air like a rag doll and bashed into a building not far behind.
Mega pink sharply turn and looked back at the building before looking below. She noticed others fighting against the fiends, a trio of magical girls? As well as a man wearing full armour and trench coat. She wonder how she could have missed them before and was ready to turn around and fly to aid the hurtled hero, no longer uncertain of his existence but the sudden flurry of energy and birth to the Red-Ell caught her completely by surprise.
The beast fired at her board sending it crashing toward the sole magical girls. She had no choice but to guide her cyber slider out of the way and into a car park before leaping away. The board crashed into a fairly expensively looking Toyota and both were soon engulfed by an explosively flame, but at least no one had been hurt. Mega pink ran toward the building where the white armoured hero had crashed into and thought about just how to clear all of that rubble off of him.
“If I’m careful and blast some of the rubble at the base I could dislodge most of it off him, but I’d need to know just where he was underneath all of that or I could hurt him. “
As if responding to her thoughts, Reika’s costume glowed yellow as she noticed her vision change. The rubble on top of the armoured figure along with everything she focused her vision on had become transparent.
Mega yellow continued to focus on the rubble unsure where to strike next, but the sudden emergence of a giant dragon left her somewhat shocked.
Having been thrown back after another furious attack, Raye is lying amidst the rubble. From the ground, he peers at his opponent, gauging their distance. He had barely withstood the previous attacks; he could not afford to face another. So he decided to launch a quick assault.
As he saw the figure moving in for another attack, he pushes himself off the ground quickly, and launches his body at the angelic figure. He dashes in from a low angle, pulling his right fist for a straight punch. As both fighters are charging towards each other, the range between them closes in an instant.
He puts his full strength in the attack. But the enemy, fast and powerful as a white whirlwind, diverts the attack, and proceed to land several quick blows, before sending him flying back with a powerful kick.
His arms hurt. As he lands on his feet with a screech, he grimaced at the pain in his arms. He had barely put them up against the devastating kick. The damage he received was lessen somewhat, but he fully realizes he has a limit to how much he can stand. He quickly notices the white whirlwind swooping in for another attack, and he puts strength into his legs.
Raye launches himself upwards in a flash, and fully avoided the assault. While in the air, guided by pure instincts, he twirls his body, heading for the ground. Confirming his opponent's location in a glance, he aims a spinning kick at his target from above.
While he had hit something, the attack didn't connect. The enemy didn't have time to evade the attack and was forced to block it head on or risk getting hit on the head. The block immediately turned into a grapple, as the white fighter had grabbed the leg, and slams the grey fighter to the ground.
The white warrior intended to continue to attack his grounded enemy, but he was repelled by a steel chain that lashed out at him. After a furious swing with his chain, Raye picked himself up as fast as he could with the pain running through his body. It was a desperate move, but he was able to put distance between him and the formidable foe in front of him.
If I can't connect in an attack, then I'll just prevent him from getting into range and attack from a far...!
With that in mind, he swings his chain at the white figure, who proceeds to block and parry the attacks. He doesn't seem particularly troubled by them, and swatted them a way with force. Going for a concentrated attack, Raye jumps up and spins himself in the air, sending his chain slashing furiously in the air at the white warrior. Realizing the danger of this violent attack, Arclight evades the slashes by jumping to the side.
As soon as Raye touched the ground, he notices the white flash heading towards him, launching a quick counterattack. He pulls himself back and block the fist heading for his head, and swings his body to parry the following kick. He could not quite block the next strikes and ended up taking a lot of damage from the attacks. In the midst of the onslaught, he puts his arm forward and extends the chain coiled around it.
The extended chains hits something and wrapped around it. It was Arclight's shoulders, and it wrapped around his chest. The white figure halted his assault for a moment, and before he could move to do anything, Raye swings him up into the air with all his might. With his foe apparently helpless in the air, Raye jumps into the air in pursuit, determined to deal a decisive blow to this opponent.
"SHADOW BLITZ!"
He charges his fist with energy, and swings it to deal the killing blow.
