Uploading MP3s as Ringtones?

^ That's the SLVR, right? How is it? Normally I can't stand Motorola phones because the layout of their control panel is so fucked up.

I thought about getting that model. But seeing as how I never text messge, there didn't seem to be any point. Instead I got a Nokia 6230 that I bought unlocked off of eBay (only cost me half of what it would have cost if I had bought the phone directly from Nokia). It's never given me any problems and works really well. Recently though, I saw the new Nokia 6682, and I find myself actually considering buying one (I've only had my 6230 for about a year).

I too dislike Motorola cellphones. My husband and mother both had one (about two years ago - different models) and they were shitty in more ways then one.

There are two Nokia phones that I like. One has a built-in FM radio while the other one looks like a mini camcorder. I think both around $300.

It's not a bad phone. The keyboard is fun, takes a bit of getting use to but there is no external antenna and no cover (except on the back) to add any "extras". I've had mine for over a year now and haven't had any problems with it other then it looks boring.

Well you could always put stickers on it.;)
Currently I use a Sony Ericsson W800. I love it to death, now I don't have to carry an mp3 player anymore.

My 6230 has both of those features, actually. The radio, however, will only work if there's a physical connection to the phone (i.e. you HAVE to have a headset that connects to the phone via a cable. It won't work with my Bluetooth headset. :bawling: ). The camera on my phone can do video clips too (max length is about 2-3 min per clip), although the video quality really sucks. That's actually part of the reason why I'm considering getting the 6682. It's pretty much the exactly the same as my 6230 in terms of features and layout, but the camera on it is much better (1.3 Megapixels with 6x digital zoom), so pics and video that I'd take on it would be of better quality. Also, my 6230 only has a 32 MB memory card (in addition to the default memory in the phone hardware). With the 6682, it comes default with a 64 MB card (and they make cards for the 6682 as high as 2 GB!).

The phones I was looking at were the N90 and the 6102. My current cellphone can take pictures and video but the quality isn't the best. The 6682 has a 1.3 megapixel capability (as you mentioned) but it's not that pretty of a phone. The 7280 just leaves me with a "WTF?" puzzlement.

I think it's partially the reason I haven't bought a new phone yet. Too many choices yet not enough choices.

I like how the screen on the N90 swivels the way it does. It's sort of like the Accelular they use on Boukenger. :P The 6120 looks like a more traditional (and probably is more affordable) clamshell type phone. I'm actually not a fan of the clamshell phones. The brick phones are more to my taste because their design is more simple and straightforward, IMO.

As far as the 6682 not being "pretty"...meh. I'm a guy. Not really looking for something "pretty". :anime:

The 7280 looks more like it should be an mp3 player or something. I dunno. Personally, give me a phone that actually looks like a PHONE. :anime:

And yeah, so many choices are available now that it's really hard to pick just one.

How do you set it up on your cellphone to get it to recognize your computer's blue tooth adapter. The cellphone is a Motorola Razr.

This all sounds really complicated. Do you have Verizon, Poweranimals? If so, email the mp3 to [your number]@vzwpix.com. It works for the other companies too, I just don't know what their email addresses are.

You have a bluetooth adapter for your computer, right? Assuming that you do, just plug it into one of your comp's USB ports and turn it on. Then you have to set your phone to "Pairing mode" in order for it to find and recognize the adapter. If you don't know how to get your phone into "Pairing mode", consult the user manual that came with the phone, and it should give you the steps to do it. Once you've paired the phone to the adapter, you can fire up your phone's desktop suite and start transferring stuff to/from your phone (though personally, I can't stand RAZR's). :P

@JFC

That question was for my brother. & He said his computer doesn't allow his phone to connect to it for some reason. So Idk. :shakefist

But Thank You for trying to help, even though it wasn't exactly for me, I appreciate it! :D
