Kain
Lurker
Universal Century 0081, 2 years after the fateful battle of A Baoa Qu which ended the one year war between the Earth Federation and the Principality of Zeon. Many famous people would be forever remembered as heroes because of their roles in the battle and the peace they helped to usher in. But even in times of peace both sides continue to maintain their military forces just in case their old enemies get a little aggressive. In this generation wherer war is waged mostly through mobile suits rather than just with guns and fighters it is necessary to have people trained to pilot these high performance machines in battle. Some pilot for glory, others do it for sake of their homeland, and some just want to do it to leave their mark on history. No matter what it is that motivates them though once thing is generally true: the skills required to be a legendary ace pilot need to be learned somewhere.
Sol Island Academy is just one of these places, a place that exclusively specializes in training future mobile suit pilots for a time when war might rear it's ugly head yet again. Its there that aspiring pilots in training learn the values of teamwork that are required in any military unit, as well as the many techniques used by ace pilots in the past. Along with the usual mobile suit training, the trainees also regularly engage in mock battles with each other which use actual mobile suits in order to learn from experience.
As of now everything seems to be proceeding normally, but with the vengeful remnants of Zeon lurking around all over space and earth, things may or may not go as planned..............

Mobile Suit Types:
At Shikon Academy most trainees are assigned one of two different types of mobile suits for use in training battles, the types of which determine which side they are on when in training battles:
RGM-C79 GM:
A widely used and well known Earth Federation mobile suit. For training purposes it has been given slightly thicker armor, paint ball weaponry and low-power beam weapons.
MS-06F2 Zaku II:
A Zeon model mobile suit that was quite widely used in the war, many of them were captured or purchased at some point. They generally act as the aggressors during training.
Note: You dont choose a mobile suit, instead one will be assigned one early on in the rpg.
Here is my profile as an example:
Name: Kyle Raynor
Age: 19
Appearance:
History: The Raynor family is one with a long history of military service, and as such this particular son of the Raynor family found himself pushed into the role of a mobile suit pilot in order to uphold that particular family tradition. Due to his family's numerous connections it was only natural that he was sent to train at Sol Island Academy which had been increasingly well known for the training of those likely to be regarded as ace mobile suit pilots. Despite all this though he tends to be more interested in the mobile suits themselves rather than mobile suit combat, while he has demonstrated some natural skill when it comes to piloting, he would rather be working on them and messing with their inner workings in most cases. Despite this though he is content with piloting a mobile suit in combat ashe feels that it may serve a greater good than just fixing them up after they become heavily damaged.
Due to his family history many have exceedingly high expectations for him, and naturally because of this there is a tremendous amount of pressure to succeed on him, resulting in him often pushing himself too hard in his training in order to meet the expectations of his peers, instructors and relatives. Aside from many people expecting him to eventually be an ace mobile suit pilot, his instructors have also seen that he has some leadershi potential as well, though due to the added pressure he doesnt always perform as well as he could.
In the end he is a person that is just doing his best to live up to the expectations of those around him, even if he pushses himself to hard in the process. The fact that many tend to resent him because of the beliefe that he has only made it to where he is because of his family's connections.
