Ugh....High School

Matrix ,

If you got 1 more year left go ahead and finish it, don't let the last 12 (or how many years you were in school) be a waste of time. complete it.

And who gives a **** what your friends say or think, don't let that junk bother you!!!

Your real friends would not bully you or pick on you.

I only had 1 problem with a guy in my 10th grade year of high school. I choked his ass almost to death(did not let go untill he turned dark blue) in front of most of the football team when in weight lifting class in the locker room. I got tired of his bullshit, the guy was always trying to bully me and called me a nerd, so I put him in his place!!!

I almost got kicked out of the school system(they(the school) wanted to press charges against me for assault), but my mom threatened them with a law suit. I had already complained to the coach about his boy(the guy was on the f ball team) and the coach just ignored me. I warned the coach I was gonna do something!!!

anyway don't give up, just hang in there!!!

High school? Wow, that was....a lot longer ago than I thought.

Freshman year, I was in a totally new school on the complete other side of town. I didn't know a single soul there. Back then, I was the timid, withdrawn type, and I had been more or less betrayed by my last real friend a few months ago in middle school, so I didn't really talk with many any people at first. As time went on, I did make a few friends, one of whom was a girl in my geometry class, but we'll get back to her in a second. Freshman year especially sucked because I had a "zero period" class- I had a class before school even started. Ugh. Also, gym. I hated gym. I know that's kinda cliche and overdone, but it's true.

Sophomore year was kinda rough for the first week or so, since I had my behind the wheel portion of driver's ed in the early mornings before school. Like 5AM early. Again, ugh. But after that, things got better. I had English with the aforementioned girl, and she ended up asking me out. Things went rather well at that point...until my grandfather died....and I had to go to his funeral in Florida on my birthday....and my girlfriend dumped me a few days later after revealing she had cheated on my while I was in Florida. So yeah, the end of sophomore year really sucked.

Oh yeah, and there was that whole September 11th thing in there as well. That was kind of a bummer.

Junior year was hell on earth for me. Half of my classes were AP classes (and one of those was a math class, which I am just DREADFUL at). On top of that, I was doing marching band, private music lessons, Mock Trial, AND trying to find a part-time job. Oh, and there was the lovely realization early on of "well, I hope I don't run into the girl who broke my heart a few months ago OH DEAR LORD SHE'S IN A THIRD OF MY CLASSES WHY?!" Junior year nearly broke me. I was all but failing my math class, my grades in the others were slipping, and I was exhausted all the time. I'm fairly certain I seriously contemplated suicide at least once. Clearly I didn't go through with it, and I managed to barely survive.

Senior year was much better, partially due to the fact that I had planned this one a little ahead and was only taking easy as hell classes. I spent the first half of the year dating a girl I had met back in sophomore English. We ended up breaking up around Christmas because...well, let's say I had intimacy issues and leave it at that. There wasn't anything terribly spectacular that happened to me other than that. It was just kind of an auto-pilot year.

I did hate graduation though. I know it's important and traditional and whatnot, but it's just so...boring! My graduating class was about 500 strong, so it took FOREVER (or so I thought at the time- college graduation was much longer). On top of that, I had played for the past three graduations in the wind ensemble, so I was sick of that auditorium, sick of bloody Pomp and Circumstance, and just sick of the entire notion. If it wasn't for my parents insisting I go, I probably would have skipped it.

So, uh, yeah. High school. It can go to hell.

Hey, it sucks more when you're last name begins with W like me...I had to wait a good 3 hours before getting my diploma and I was one of the last people to get it.

So far, I've been through two years of high school, and I can safely say that this past year is not only worst year out of the two, but the worst year of school I've had ever. My school isn't the same as it was my first year, due to a Merge we had with another school. I'm hoping that I can somehow make it through the next two years successfully and still be sane.

I'm moving onto my sophomore year but my freshman year sailed on smoothly. Everyone thought I was badass because I happened to be the ONLY Filipino student in the entire campus. lol I'd walk in the hallways and someone would go, "Is that awesome filipino dude!".

Not many people were aware that "my type" existed till I went there. I felt like 7-8th grade years were the crappiest. Such stupid people at the time. My high school only has a few people from my middle school and most of them happen to be friends of mine.

My high school is special though, it also has college class program. There's sections of the campus for us high schoolers and then the regular buildings and rooms for college classes. It's a pretty unique school and very, very awesome. Much better than the high school I would've gone to if I didn't accept the program.

Smells like youngin's in this thread.

My senior year was so fucking awesome. Our football team was doing good that season, our Class Night was awesome, had a beautiful prom date and awesome prom, and my classes were insanely easy.

Oh, and I was a ROTC brat. I made a lot of friends through ROTC.....in addition to a lover that I recently reconnected with.

Hm... High school eh? It was pretty fun. I hopped from group to group trying out a bunch of different things and was pretty friendly with other people. I hung out with the non-partying people a lot more though, so not too much went down other than your occasional friend-cest. haha Otherwise, drama was pretty much non-existent.

My school was pretty chill in the sense that there weren't any bullies or anyone making fun of you. Everyone was pretty accepting of everyone else and it was a cool coexistence. The only sad part is that I feel like I didn't really bond with my class as a collective. I was on FB looking at some of my younger friends' grad pics and comments around that time and I realized that they were a whole lot closer to each other than those people in my class, and it made me kinda wish that my class was as tight as they were... ^^;

HS sucked and was boring

I was that quiet neutral observer guy waiting for something great to happen but it ended up being a popularity contest/backstabbing/negative rumor spreading soap opera inside a teen daycare. I had ZERO school spirit and skipped school whenever the chance came up.

If I could do it all over I would have headbutted all the jocks, cheerleaders, the popular nerds, weeboos/anime tards, my friends, etc.

Am I the only person that had a positive high school experience and was not a butthurt geek? I mean, I was a geek, but I was a fairly cheerful geek....

I would say I had a positive experience. Though I was blessed with some really passionate teachers and friends I still talk to today, not everyone gets that luxury.
