Its kinda negative around here lately, so I thought I'd skip a "Least Favorite" thread (for now) and ask what Sentai Costume Designs people liked. So let's hear 'em!

4 - Gekiranger, especially Violet and Chopper. I actually really want to see future Sentai suits moving in those directions, too bad it seems so unlikely.

In chronological order since I have a hard time gauging my favorites.
Big One - JAKQ: This is also one of favorite Ishinomori designs.
Kingranger - Ohranger: This design really showed how well chest armor could modify the standard team look.
Nejiranger - Megaranger: Also some of my favorite villain designs in general.
Dekamaster - Deakranger: A really sleek design that seems to draw a nice touch of influence from the Metal Hero line.
Black Lion Rio - Gekiranger: A very nice hybrid of ranger and monster that really helps breath new life into the evil ranger concept.
Gekichopper - Gekiranger: Shows how great the use of color highlights can bring out an otherwise plain design, plus a rather creative helmet design.

I really like Kakuranger since they seemed so incredibly simple, almost as if you wouldn't expect them to be the lead characters in a toyetic show.

Following Blue Saint's format...
1. Ryu Ranger - Dairanger: it's a shame we never got to see these suits in North America because the way the dragon's mouth flows on this visor is oh so perfect. His rollcall pose just compliments the other nice things of this suit with the uniform white vests they all share.
2. AbareKiller - Abaranger: he's striped like a zebra that can kick your ass. It's a nice contrast to the rest of the team since it's as if his stripes are inverted with the black pattern. There's also the gold trim that sticks out as ridges not simply a part of the cuffs but sticks out. It's also the visor: the fact that it's red and flows inward sprouting the spikes to create the overall shape is so menacing.
3. Kabuto Raijer - Hurricanger: I was never a complete fan of kuwaga designs in general. It's the black part of the spandex that makes it for me, practically four different sets of colour on this suit evenly distributed. Plus compared to his bro in blue, Kabuto's his visor looks angrier which won me over just by a smidge

4. King Ranger - Ohranger: I like how this guy wasn't completely gold. He was a black ranger suit outlined in gold, class. Because of that difference, the gold armour parts pop out so much more and his vest (? drawing a blank for lack of better term) wasn't the traditional pointed edge but much more rounder (also, it basically his entire torso area). Thanks to the design of Ohranger's suits in general, the symbol embroidery is pretty sweet
5. Ninja Red - Kakuranger: simplicity, simplicity, simplicity. While Jiraiya rocks traditional, "practical" colours for a ninja, Sasuke rocks the colours of a Sentai ninja (if that even makes sense). The suit is completely red only with slight bands around the wrists and ankles to signify boots and gloves. Ninjas rock, it's as simple as that and the helmet is so bland and uncharacteristic that it's up to the suit actor and VA to deliver the Kakuranger's badassery.
