Tomica 3 - Tomica Hero Police Warrior

Finally, I wanted to see Tomica 3 4 an long time and now thats its being rumored I can finally hope its promising :P

I just hope the new Tomica Hero series is better then the last. Something about Rescue Fire, to me, just lost a lot of the charm that Rescue Force had. If we have to settle for a lower CGI budget to get that, I don't mind.

Also, Police Warrior? I guess Rescue Police was taken?

According to this, a new Tomica Hero series will start in 2011. The story involves a branch of the UFDA called the World Police Department fighting Super Crimes caused by the Geistron Pirate Empire, who are looking to steal treasures vital to the planet. Robot battles are going to be CGI again and the robots themselves will look like Zoids and Transformers, both other Takara properties. It's also said the new series will contain elements of the Yuusha series.

Looks like they still haven't figured out how to do a rescue/police show in a way that makes sense. But on the other hand, a police group dedicated to fighting a single organization makes a hell of a lot more sense than rescue teams who only handle one single organization.

I was so happy to hear about this

I thought for sure that the franchise was dead in the water after Rescue Fire (Everyone kept saying that it did horrible ratings wise and I had no idea why, it was a great show)

And BTW, whatever happened to Rescue Aqua or was that just a rumor?

Sorry if I'm saying this, that image could be a hoax... because there no such a thing in TakaraTomy press release website. Someone in 2ch says it was a fake.

I did see Rescue Fire press release in that website, the first phrase does looks the same, but it has been re-edited & mixed the information. As for Zoid like mecha can be refer to GaiaLeon in Rescue Fire and Transformers like mecha maybe refer to the rescue vehicles or maybe Rescue King.

Let just considered this as rumor first.

I'm glad that Tomica will continue with the franchise, even though I didn't like Rescue Fire. The show just felt like it had no show and took the whole toku concept to the basics a little too much. The costumes and designs are refreshing though and I hope that Tomica starts to experiment with the toku foundations now, I'm pretty confident that this franchise is the one to watch. It's just a case of when they really want to start making things interesting.
