now, I'm sure there was a thread/threads for these two toy lines years back, but I wanted to bring them up because I feel like these were really great toys that a lot of people passed up.
For just a bit of TakaraTomy's attempts at tokusatsu toys, they honestly outclassed Bandai in some ways. while Ryukendo's toys were ok from what I've seen, I think it was Rescue Force where they really started to show their stuff, and primarily in regards to the Rescue Vehicles
most of the toy line revolved around the main vehicle, Rescue Striker. on it's own, it's remote-controlled via the card-scanning Rescue Commander, which enables it to activate sounds, launch Core Vehicles, and even move forward and back via motorized wheels. other rescue Vehicles could be attached to activate more motorized features, and multiple vehicles could be combined for some big combinations, like Rescue Max and Great God Striker
they even put effort into their base, the Rescue Phoenix, which could deploy vehicles into Rescue Striker, and had a loop to mimick the Spiral Catapult
of course this continued in Rescue Fire with new vehicles led by Fire Dragon, which could be commanded by the Rescue Megaphone that sent signals to it via voice commands, and was even backwards-compatible with the Rescue Striker. of course the new Rescue Vehicles could combine with Fire Dragon, and it could even combine with the old vehicles. of course in the end their were also new big combinations like Great Wyvern GX
so, what do you all think about the Rescue Force/Fire toys now? do you think they hold up?
