Tokusatsu "Anniversary" characters...

I've noticed a trend with anniversary characters in tokusatsu, i.e. Gokaiger & Decade, that the lead characters turn evil quite often. Tsukasa/Decade had turned to the dark side about three times (All Rider vs Daishocker, Movie Taisen 2010, Super Hero Taisen), Cpt. Marvelous/Gokai Red turned evil two times (Super Hero Taisen, the Gokaiger/GoBusters movie), and I think ZX in the KR Spirits manga was quite cruel & antagonistic. Why is that?

This never happened to Mebius, as far as I can tell, so it might just be a Toei thing.

It is not really common in other anniversary celebrated series EXCEPT in Toei shows.

Although, Shirakura happens to be the Toei producer that COMMONLY USES IT.........with exception to the other Toei producers that did the Sentai VS movies that featured "heroes becoming villians"
