Toku ever too depressing/dark for you?

I never stop watching a series just because it get depressing though, as long as it's entertaining, I'll watch it

That's good. :) What I'm interested in is when a person will tend to not enjoy something due to how depressing it is. Like Switchblade said, the early eps of 555 are not necessarily something fun for him/her to watch. And the reasons given are certainly understandable. You on the other hand, seems like you're able to forgive depressing elements more. :)

Timeranger ending was the most bittersweet out of all Sentai for me, even more than Flashman or Maskman. The one where the happiness of most sentai ending does not seem to be there

someone did mention Yuka from Kamen Rider 555, which was a bit hard for me to deal with, AND I CAN SIT THROUGH CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST!!

I know, what a shocker.

Mio dumped Takeru on his ass after risking his life to save her *COUGHUNGREATFULBITCHCOUGH*

And the Flashman were dying and near death.

But at least with Flashman the hope to meet their family again is still there and they can still be save if the Flashman go back to the Flash Star.

Takeru still has his friend and can now live peacefully without any disturbance from Tube.

Timeranger, one dead and four go back to the future while one is left alone in the past with bittersweet memories

It wasn't all dark/depressing, but god damn...poor Ryo can never catch a break in that series. :disappoin

Yeah, poor Ryo. :( But one thing I love about Ryo is that he doesn't give up. He doesn't fall apart and go all angst ridden. And I think for me, that's a good part of why I personally was able to keep on watching Ryo. Even though Toshiki Inoue pretty much treated Ryo like crap, even until the very end.

you have a point there.

Metalder's ending though was that he demanded that he be killed in order to save the earth. Depressing or Heroic is argued mostly though.

Yeah, Metalder's ending is sad too. Losing his human form after saving humanity. Not to mention this is after experiencing lot of sadness throughout the series
