One thing that made me cheer was the overall tone of what the people said. They didn't pose the same stupid questions that they did at Columbine. No one said 'What movies were they watching? Did they listen to heavy metal music? What video games did they play?' Instead, they laid the blame solely on the kids and their parents. The question was asked several times 'How bad were these parents? Is there something we can charge the parents with?' That made me proud. So yeah, this whole mess is just starting. Guys, lemme know if you see GB on the news anywhere, ok? And remember, Green Bay is NOT all nut jobs.

How 'bout placing part of the blame on the kids that made them feel like this was the only option? I'm not saying the kids weren't batshit crazy, 'cause they were, but every time one of these things happen the cause is always bullying and no one ever takes a serious look at it.

I agree. All the blame doesn't lie solely with the guys who planned all this. Someone or something had to make them snap.

I don't care how bullied or antagonized they were, all the blame DOES fall on them for planning something so sick. That's not a normal reaction.

I didn't say they were justified in what they did. I said they're not the sole culprits in this. Whoever was responsible for pushing them to that point should be held accountable, too. Otherwise, nothing changes and the whole pointless cycle keeps repeating itself.

Well, please forgive me if i ramble in this post. But I need to tell someone what has happened today, as it is a weight pulling me down. My father is almost retired, 2 more years to go. He teaches high school here in Green Bay, WI. He is a kind and generous man. And tonite he is lucky to be alive.

This morning, a student tipped off the principal at my dad's school that a couple of 17-year-old students were planning some kind of attack on the school. As soon as the students in question arrived for classes, they were taken into custody by the police. When the police searched their respective houses, they found home made bombs, shotguns, assault rifles, helmets, camoflage gear and combat boots. The police chief said that had they carried out their plan, it would have most likely been worse than Columbine.

Police interviewed friends of the two suspects, who said that they knew something was coming. The two were within days of carrying out their plan. They had their suicide notes already written.

So as the horror of what might have been slowly sinks in, I am going to try and figure out just what lesson God is trying to teach me here. Thoughts and prayers would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

What is this? Compton California High School? This is horrible. Kids bringing guns to school. Where I am, some schools have metal detectors and random backpack checking. Glad things didn't turn out bad.
