There should be sad scenes in Power Rangers....

Anyway, as far as the scenes described on this thread, the only season I saw that I felt was actually sad was Wild Force- in fact that season was the whole reason I began watching in the first place;

The battles were actually suspenseful, the episodes were actually original, the backstories of Merrick/ ZenAku, Cole & Animus were all heart-wrenching.

That's what Im talkin about brotha! WF ftw!

Speaking of Gem and Gemma, I cant believe I didnt even mention RPM. RPM had wonderful moments. Most of the sad ones were with Dr. K and her past at Alphabet soup. (what's really depressing is that she never did rediscover her name, which I felt was a huge disappointment. Judd should have explored that.)

Reflections was pretty sad in SPD.

And the Sky Tate scene where he himself got emotionally attacked by that mirror travelling kaijin. Dang! That was one of the saddest moments in DEPR, but NOWHERE close to that of any of the Saban days. I admit, Power Rangers did have a lot of those but Saban's were truly the ones that we consider as drama in toku. Man! I remember that PR Movie where Zordon was near to his death due to Ivan Ooze's terror... During my days as a 4-9 year old boy, I cried because of that scene.

I guess Andros killing Zordon to unleash the Z-Wave at the end of space might qualify.

Yeah! I agree. That really made me cry as far as I am a level headed US Toku fan. However, still nothing beats the sad scenes as of that of Saban. Saban's Power Rangers really made more impact than that of DEPRs.
