The Viewing Globe - Seriously? I'm Still Alive?

The last book I read was called Wild Seed. Written by a female science fiction novelist in 1980 (apparently unheard of at the time when she started). It was pretty good. Without spoiling anything I can just say it's about: African Super-powers xD. Oh and male and females roles in life too. It was quite interesting to read about super powers back in the 17th Century.
It was a prequel to 3 other books that were written before, so once I have the time I'll check those out too.

I also want to (before I die) to read classic fairy tale novels that I knew as a child.

Quick question for those who read on a regular basis what is your preferred format, e-book, physical copy or a combination of both? I only added both because that's where I'm at. I have a Kindle, I like reading on my Kindle but I still buy actual books too.
Physical copies for me. I may one day purchase a Kindle or Nook, but I fear that it will be a waste of money. All of my professional level work thus far has been in libraries so I have a strong attachment to the physical medium. I'm sure that reading from an e-reader differs from reading something on my laptop. I find that my attention seems to waver - at least while reading something via laptop. It's so easy to open a new tab and end up doing something else.

Yup. That series title locked it for me. Searching those out now.
You won't be sorry.

I've wanted to read Wild Seed ever since Orson Scott Card mentioned it in his How to Write Science & Fantasy. He used it as an example several times and really gushed about it.

I just finished Batman: The Dark Knight Returns part 2. I have not been following the comic book line, so forgive me. The story is meh. Though, it's more bloody. Lots of killing.

I remember the TAS episode of that:

That's actually in Part 1.

I saw the clip of that fight on Youtube, and it looked like it played almost exactly like the clip I linked too LOL

Haven't gotten around to watching the new animated batman yet. Just haven't liked the recent ones as much as I did Under the Red Hood.

Worst day ever. I've been tinkering with small-scale farming for the past year, but a great job opportunity came up recently. I had a phone interview this morning and fuckin' bombed it...bad. I've never done so poorly in an interview. I don't know if it was the awkwardness of it being a phone interview, knowing I was on speaker phone with five other people, or what but it went terribly. If I get a call to come in for the additional in-person interview it will only be because of divine intervention.

Stuff happens. Good luck and I'm sending positive energy towards you.

Don't sweat it G!
We have all been there before, hell i was just the other day when i did an interview for a second job. Being less than composed.

If worse comes to worse, just grow a giant something to get your farm on the map.

I appreciate the kind words, guys.

It was just so...weird. I'm always nervous before interviews and things, but this was unreal. I thought it'd be a lot easier since it was via phone and I didn't have to be there in person, but it actually seemed much, much worse.
