The Transformers Live-Action Movie

Why do people expect this to be the exact same thing as G1? If you want that, go watch the old cartoons. Shia Lebouf is an okay actor and usually plays likeable characters.

Not really. But if you're going to use the iconic characters, you should probably try your best to make it be like the original cartoon.

Question: Has anyone heard rumours about a "Neo G1" cartoon coming out that will coincide with the movie?

I know a new G1 toy line is in the works, but I seem to remember reading that there would be no new TV series (after the current one) until the release of the movie. So that rumor at least sounds like it could be true.

Indeed, I heard in the rumor mill that a remake of the G1 anime would follow after the movie, which would be cool actually! Imagine, an updated version of a classic anime. As long as they stay true to the original and the story is well-written, I'm there! :buttrock:

Except Generation One was'nt an anime...Takara did'nt start animating their own TF series until Headmasters, way after G1 ended.

And I hope to Christ G1's renewal is'nt another stinking anime....

Really? I thought the series was written in the US but produced in Japan (I mean, the animation was done in Japan, script and voice acting in the US). Or am I wrong?

Marvel animation produced most of the G1 seasons back and fourth, and gave a few season three episodes to Takara like the classics "Call of the Primitives" and "Return Of Optimus Prime", Armada was also produced mostly in America and then Japan fixed all of the mistakes in the series when they aired it as Micron Legend
