The reality of fast food

I have never had fast food that looked as bad as those "reality" pictures. Especially the sandwiches, those look like the people warmed them up, let them sit for hours, & squashed them. This stuff may be true in SOME areas, but not all.

the mashed potato bowl has gravy, cheese, and popcorn chicken mixed in with the potatoes. It's the one on the front page of the thread. It's just that all the KFCs around here call it Mashed Potato Bowl.

That sounds disgusting and delicious at the same time.


I usually end up going to McDonalds once a week (on the way home from campus at the weekends), and Subway 2-3 times a week (taking it to roleplaying games)... KFC maybe once a month or something. I wish Subway wasn't so damn expensive

I happen to go to some affordable fast food chains to save money (I also go to Persian Palette to eat Spinach and Tofu and Soya Shakes.

Ewww those pics make me wanna puke.

I don't know if you've ever seen any of those shows on the foodnetwork ( like "Unwrapped") on food advertising, but they go through a LOT of trouble to make those products look that good.

For example, they never use actual ice in drinks, they use like...a chemical or gelatinous mess...they use like...red hot iron rods to make grill marks on burgers, they glue individual sesame seeds onto buns, they use an eye dropper to add 'juiciness' to burger meat...

And really, irl, if people who WORK at fast food places took a little pride in their job...hell, just even DID their jobs right, it wouldn't look like chewed up spit out vomit.

I know, I used to work at KFC.

Chronotia, I am NOT going to become a vegetarian because of poor fast food.

If anything, I would stop eating...oh I dunno...FAST FOOD.

Meat CAN look and taste good.
