The Pizza Thread - Hot and ready, with your choice of toppings

Pizza of choice would be NY style w/ Pepperoni, bacon, & extra sauce.

Best pizza is the Meaty Beaty Big & Bouncy from The Rock. It's pretty much a meat lovers pie using all high quality meats. DELICIOUS!

Sobeys Meat Lover's is my Favorited Cook-n-Eat Pizza (it's not frozen).
Pepperoni, Ground Beef, Sausage, Bacon, Ham and then i add some Feta......

Local place, Zio's Pizza (yes, I commonly misspell as 'Zeo' -- I'm a nerd)

Amazing Pizza. Simply Amazing, I've eaten at pizza places from Maine, to Boston, to NY, to Chicago and this is the best I've ever had.

I like just about any toppings on my pie, never tried Anchovies though -- a friend really wants me too. The only stipulation is it can't be deep dish, never dug it. But I like regular or thin.

Top favs though; Beef (Hamburger), Shaved Italian Beef, Spicy Italian Sausage, Mushroom, Onion, Jalapeno + Black Olive.

Actually had a "DIY Pizza" night at my buddies place last month. He wanted to break in his new pizza stone that he had bought on his trip to Boston. Most people that went did the usual toppings that you can find at most pizza places. I however, ended up making a Ruben pizza (i.e. toppings are based on the Ruben sandwich). Went to a local deli and got myself some awesome pastrami, sauerkraut and Swiss chesse. The Russian dressing I made at home from a recipe I found online. The only thing that I could not really replicate was making the crust taste like rye bread, but considering we had the pizza stone, I wasn't too hung up on it. Made the crust nice and thin (because that's how I like it), spread on some of the Russian dressing, followed by the Swiss cheese, then the sauerkraut, then pastrami. Topped it off with more Russian dressing, Swiss and Mozzerella cheeses.

With his stove cranked on high, cooking it on the pizza stone only took about 10-12 minutes. I was quite pleased with how it turned out. Some of my buddies that were there thought at first that the combo of ingredients was wierd (even though many of them had had Ruben sandwiches in the past and therefore were familiar with them and what they would taste like). Suffice it to say they were surprised that they ended up liking it as much as they did.

On 42nd Street, there's a place that sells delicious, fresh, mouthwatering pizza for only freakin 99 cents.

They have two locations.

Wait, I missed a Pizza discussion in the Viewing Globe?? Darned busy weekends... :shakefist

I love thick crust, with ham and pineapple. There's a place near me called Numero Uno that has the greatest crust ever. I can't really describe it, but it's almost sweet. That sounds like it should taste gross, but it makes it sooo much better. Papa John's is good, too, what with their magical garlic dipping sauce that is made of awesome.
