Yeah, the series is actually good, since it gives us the point of view of Clones which were never explored in any of the movies. It sorta gives justification on why there are troopers who'll follow The Empire to the death... Well, of course most of the 501st aren't clones anymore...

I feel like if they made animated movies of the Prequel Trilogy with the same staff behind the show, it would better.
....although the animated movie they did do was alright lol.

I think the closest Star Wars thread we got here was the thread about the Blu-Ray Boxset that came out last year. I remember a lot of people discussed what they liked about the originals and not the altered versions. Anyways, I love the OT a lot and find myself watching certain scenes from time to time. The altered versions don't hurt me as much as it does for many other fans so I approve of almost all of Lucas' changes. The insertion of Hayden Christensen in the end of RotJ is still controversial to this day, but I will go by Lucas' reasoning for it.

About the PT, I didn't like "The Phanton Menace" that much thanks to that annoying Jar Jar. The only saving grace in this film was Darth Maul and the epic lightsaber duel. I find myself watching a lot of "Revenge of the Sit" at times though. This movie to me, was epic and to see Anakin "embrace the hate" was awesome. I've only watched a few episodes of the Clone Wars series and I need to watch more of it. It's great to hear good things about it.

^ Liam Neeson wasn't even part of your saving grace for The Phantom Menace?! BLASPHEMY... :sparta!:

Well, I think the way the series progresses (as much as it is very predictable with the general plot) is very interesting. It deals more about "war" than any of the movies, since all 6 movies dealt with adventure and drama. The concepts and ideals of war are what the Clone Wars series dwells upon, it shows us the point of view of soldiers and characters caught in the cross-fire. It's more in-depth in ways that the movies cannot show because it will lose focus on the transformation of Anakin to Vader and the hope that is Luke, which may explain why most people who loved the movies (especially the original trilogy) are having a hard time accepting the series (especially if they can't even accept the prequels). It's actually a very interesting expanded universe-type series, we get to see new characters and new technologies so it's definitely worth watching.

Eh, Clone Wars... Seriously this show sucks. George Lucas needs to stop milking Star Wars.

I'm sticking with the prequel and the original films. That's it.

One thing I would have to say I hate about Star Wars is the fact that everyone thinks that Episodes IV-VI are completely flawless.

Nah, I disagree. I grew up with the original prequels too, but I appreciate what the series brings. It actually gives meaning to the word "wars" in "Star Wars" since the movies are mostly drama and adventure as I've already said.
