The Next Avengers Talk-Up (Trailer)

Ultron looked pretty cool. I miss the old guy who did Tony's voice, I wonder why he didn't come back. Hearing Captain Kiddie Widow there shout "Avengers Assemble!" does nothing for me. Hawkeyes kid looks interesting(Definitely has a cooler costume), I'm pretty sure the guy who is doing his voice, did the voice of Pym in the 2 Ult Avengers movies. Old Hulk! I'm still trying to wrap my head around Tony raising a bunch of kids. Least we'll get some Iron action.

Looks like it will be alright.

I'm just kind of a freak for continuity

Come to think of it, why ISN'T Spider-Man included? :hmm:

DC must be crazy for you with the Infinite Crisis and changed histories.

Spider-Man is Marvels most successful franchise and a notable Avenger, odd that he isn't there. Even if Spidey was there I still won't be seeing it.

Also did anyone notice how Cap's kid's uniform is a cross between Bucky's and a Deka uniform?

Not any offense to the Spider-man lovers, but when I think Avengers, I don't think "New Avengers" like Spidey and Wolverine, I think big three, Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America, then Wasp, Giant Man/Ant Man, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Hulk, Beast, Hawkeye , Quicksilver, Beast, and Miss Marvel, all before I would think of Spidey, when I think of The Avengers.

I don't think Spider-Man will ever make an appearance in an Avengers movie, Animated or Live. Though it would be kind of cool, because I always loved when Tony and Peter would talk geek, especially the one issue of New Avengers where you see the two of them hanging out playing video games, Tony wearing the bottom half of the Iron Man armor.

I think in the last thread regarding this Fayt and I were talking about how cool the old-school Avengers looked in the flashback montage for this and how awesome it would be to see a cartoon based on THAT using those designs. You don't see them as much in this trailer but they had a really nice balance of retro and awesome. I think they would animate really well.

Conceptually I think this show is a little flawed if for no other reason than the Avengers as they are in the context of this story are not established to the audience. To try to convey what I mean, it's kinda like having Batman Beyond before BTAS. Outside of comicbook readers, the audience doesn't know them.

This also has one of the problems Batman Beyond had where in order to play along with it you have accept that the previous heroes lives went to hell or as is in this case, they were killed off. I liked Batman Beyond but I don't think I've ever been quite ready to totally accept that as -THE- fate of BTAS Bruce Wayne. (Don't even get me started on that whole clone thing from JLU's "Epilogue".)

All that aside for a moment, I must admit that the idea of a new generation taking the mantles of the heroes of old does appeal to me on certain levels. I admit it, when Cap's son raises the shield and yells "Avengers Assemble!" that did make me smile.

Spider-Man was in the standard Avengers you know, he didn't do as much as he did with the New Avengers though, he was also in the New Fantastic Four (which was incredibly awesome). Animated I'll give that to you, but I'm sure we'll see Spider-Man in the Avengers movie.
