There must be some budget problems in Den-O. The last batch of Imagin are mostly modified from the older ones:

-Wasp Imagin - Crust Imagin
-Blue Bird Imagin - Owl Imagin
-Rabbit Imagin - Tortoise Imagin
-Leo Imagin - Rhino Imagin

And the worst of all, the Leo Soldiers, simple repaints of the ZecTroopers...

I also rewatched Kabuto and they used and reused those suits a lot of times, that's something I enjoy of sentai, they don't repeat monsters, ever.

That's been going on for a while now, especially in Faiz.

Sting Fish Orphy? Became Scorpion Orphy. Elephant became Armadillo. And so on. Heck, the movie-only guys use the same two or three bodies but with different heads!

Blade did it too, but I think they disguised it pretty well most of the time. I'll cut most of the other shows some slack since they make a point out of having multiples of the same monster, although this in itself is a trend I don't particularly like. Because it feels more and more like monsters of the week are just dropped in anywhere to be an annoyance for a bit, and ultimately the extent of their character is "He's a bad man." Den-O is sort of alleviating this by giving the monsters some personality and, most importantly, voice actors, but I still like it when the monsters are so unique and specific to the plot, the episodes are named after them!

My all-time favourite MOTW is Za Zobaruda from Choushinsei Flashman ep 21.

Nothing extra fancy about the monster and it appeared in a normal episode (not the 2-part or multi-parts type) but for some reason, I like it very much. Most probably because it scared the living hell out of me when I was little.

Other MOTW that I really like are:

AMENnn...:buttrock: :buttrock: Mate. So true and agree on that. Actually thats one of reason I stopped watching den-o.. Sentai monsters have characters like their voice or attitude. Specially this year gekiranger monsters (Rinrin shies) totally Rock and look damn awsome. KR kabuto monsters look not bad but den-o monsters are abit off this year. I'm loving every monsters send out from Rin jyuken school. My eyes are on gekiranger and ultrasevenx monsters..

Actually, when you are the director, you will always try to cut your costs down without reducing the storyline. Most of the kids would have probably forgotten about some of the recycling work. But yeah, the Leo Troopers are so obvious.

Despite that, I find Den-O's Imagins are having their own personalities and traits. Not all, but some have their distinct personalities and catchphrases Who can forget Whale Imagin with the pedo face and retarded personality which frustrated Den-O himself :laugh:

Let's see, (excluding the Taros, Sieg, and Deneb)

Bat Imagin : typical pilot episode monster. plain, but he questioned Momotaros' decision to give his power to Den-O, saying that they're 'comrades'.

Chameleon Imagin : some sadistic lizard

Crust Imagin : definitely a poor coward which got hit by Sword Form's penalty kick.

Crow Imagin : he flies! I mean, he is just like Chameleon Imagin.

Rhino Imagin : a brutal Imagin which has the polar opposite personality of Kintaros. The strength is about the same, actually.

Ivy Imagin : ...wierd..

Owl Imagin : Cocky at some point, he looks cool in some scenes.

WHALE IMAGIN : an absolute LOL WTF. slow, retarded, pedo-faced, but was able to escape Axe, Rod, and Gun. Destroyed by Sword Form but he still hit Den-O quite a bit.

Wolf Imagin : angry emo

Jelly Imagin : slimy stuff with Frieza voice , but was quite smart in completing his contract (which was not completed at all, the guy was not digging the right time capsule)

Tortoice Imagin : a frustrated-looking professor-with-a-shell. Yea, the way he speaks reminds me of some boring academics at my campus.

Hare Imagin (green) : he doesn't walk, he jumps!

Scorpion Imagin : lazy sloth who doesn't like to be "bothered" with some difficult wish (he mentions that to his host)

Spider Imagin (1) : Psychotic web-swinger which gets a "V"
Spider Imagin (2) : killed easily

Molech Imagin : Because he is able to lure Den-O, we can say he has some brains by finding the rights hosts for him and Bloodsucker Imagin and his sacrifice is well-timed.

Bloodsucker Imagin : he is just as psycho as you think

Wasp Imagin : nothing special, except he consists of real wasps!

Bluebird Imagin : I guess he has some sense of humor, his fireworks would have entertained some children.

Hare Imagin (white) : Chopped down together with a tree.

Anthopper 1 (Aris) : cold-blooded murderer
Anthopper 2 (Kirigiris) : some psycho insect

They both formed a contract to get a solid form in order to kill Den-O, rather than going to the past.

Kraken Imagin : with the voice of Doggy Kruger, he intends to "punish" anyone who interfere. With a bunch of Gigandeaths.

Mole Imagin(1) : Serious guy
Mole Imagin(2) : Crazy dude
Mole Imagin(3) : Urataros' long lost brother?

They are quite synchronized when they are speaking. Reminds me of Donald Duck's nephew.

Leo Imagin : not sure yet, he just acts like some brutal Ancient Egyptian bodyguard.

Although there is some recycling done here, at least we are getting different personalities at some point.

I love the designs for the Gekiranger monsters. They look freakin awesome and they never reuse suits unless that character reappears. I love it.

I also like the Hydrar Soldiers from Changeman, the Zolors from Flashman, and the Dragonoid Soldier Jaryuu from Boukenger. They're cool looking.
