The King of Fighters/Tekken - Double Talk Up! (Live action edition)

I've only seen the Tekken movie, but man, its bad. I think i've said it before, but the only character that shows any resemblance to their video game counterpart is Eddie Gordo, and thats only cuz Lateef Crowder knows Capoeira. Even then, the choreography pretty much sucks so it doesnt do anything for the movie.

Tekken wasn't...accurate  but I did enjoy it. I was impressed with Yoshimitsu's suit actor since I saw the behind the scenes video and he did get injured during that fight. He still managed to finish off well with that flip.

What boggles my mind is the fact that neither of these two games had such a complex, intricate plotline which would have been hard to have adapted into a kung fu movie. it was basically "hey, I'm rich! wanna fight in my turnament?" with a bunch of people punching each other in the face. was it really needed to make King of Fighters about interdimentional portals or whatnot?

The creative trends in the production of fighting game movies have shown repeatedly that people just ain't interested in watching two dudes fight for any reason other than a) the fate of the world at the hands of the person that killed the main character's parents/master/love, b)the fate of the world at the hands of demonic forces working through world-class martial artists, or c) the fate of the world at the hands of extraterrestrials from another dimension. They're missing out on a lot of obligatory violence with that kind of closed-mindedness.
