I didn't think he'd say that line, which made it even more sweet then it already was Oh man, I soo wanna see Hulk clash with the avengers, especially with Ironman! Kinda like a reanactment of that Hulk battle with the avengers in the Ultimate Avengers movie, only sweeter and better :anime:

Anyone else catch the tribute to the second part of the 1970's Pilot? When Banner is trapped in Containment Cell and Hulks out, then came the steam covering everything. I was reminded of that scene when Banner in the movie was trapped in the Hallway at the University and the smoke grenades came in.

Just got back from seeing it a while ago. Even as a kid I often wished to see elements of what worked about the tv show merged with the level of spectacle and action you can get from the best of the comicbooks and I think this movie really succeeds in that and because of it makes for a excellent way to transition Hulk from comicpage to cinema.

I thought the CG had more genuine weight and interaction than not only Ang Lee's pretentious borefest but also just in comparrison to many other CG efforts. The creatures expressions were pulled off really well to. The films overall take on the creature was in the right direction, showcasing not just his power and fury but the gentle and ultimately the heroic if misunderstood side of the monster.

The Abomination was well done to. At first I was bothered that they departed so aggressively from his comicbook design and I still defend that you could make that work just fine but for what it is they did it well and it still fit the concept and the name.

My only mild dissapointment is that Hulk himself didn't get more speaking lines but I can forgive that because when he did it was excellent. Lou Ferrigno is indeed the man for both his voice-work here and his cameo. I also really liked the shout-out to Bill Bixby.


P.S. Use of the Lonely Man theme shows much love on the part of the filmmakers. :buttrock:

I loved this movie and it is way better than uttercrap called HULK. Thanks goodness, it's a reboot, starting over the franchise which makes me so much happy!! Much better than I expected. I was conernced about this, but I was wrong. So excited because I loved this movie.

Argh... one thing that bothers me is too many scene cut out.

Ugh. I hope they add 70 minutes scene addition on special edition DVD when it comes out.

Tony Stark's cameo was so such a badass.

THE INCREDIBLE HULK deserves to have a sequel for sure. I hope it happens.

Meh.

It was good... not a must see... it was cool to see Tony Stark show up at the end and mention a team that's getting formed.

Lotta good head nods to the game, comic book, cartoons and so forth.

Just wasn't powerfully inspired in any aspect.

Love story weighed it down. I REALLY hate love stories in every single movie. Don't get me wrong... I enjoy a good love story, but they just seem to feel the need to put one in every single movie.

In the end, Hulk takes down the monster The Abomination and with a roar he's about to rip the monster's head off like he needs to, buuuuut..... Liv Tyler steps in to say, "STOP!" and since the only person The Hulk will listen to is his woman... he does.

Thing is, The Abomination is unstoppable, a killer, and one of the main things was keeping Hulk-technology out of the hands of the military. Buy not killing The Abomination he leaves a lot of innocents at risk and if the miliatry is able to some how control it and take it away..... they have good enough Hulk-tech.

Eh.... whatever.

It's not a bad way to spend an evening, but you don't need to see it in the threatre.

So... who's this, "The Leader?" I thought Stern was revealing himself as a Skrull actually.

I don't know Keith, is it really so awful that took characters took some degree of moral high-ground and that the writers didn't kill off a major villan in what is likely chapter one of a three movie storyline?

I mean hey, I like seeing the monster of the week get blown up at end as much as the next fan on this board but at the same time I can appreciate when in American hero stories the characters choose not to kill. Does everything need to be about who's "badass" and racks up the kills more?

Thing is, killing The Abomination would be moral high ground. We've seen that no force on Earth can stop The Abomination other than the Hulk and we didn't want the military having that power.

For no good reason, the world is still in danger from both the Abomination and now the military too. I didn't get that ending.
