I'm guessing it must be for the new one. I bought the original anime series on DVD last year and it has both subs and languages in English and Japanese.

In story they are some what the same. Two high school guys go into woods, BOOM! One of the Units nearly kills them. Boy slams head on to the Unit. boy becomes a PWN ASS MOTHER! The only difference is that the new one is 26 eps long unlike the first one that only had 13 eps and endded with a FUCKING CLIFFHANGER!
